Henry County Police Receive Donation The Henry County Board of Commissioners approved two public safety measures at the January 20, 2015 Commission meeting. C o m m i s s i o n e r s approved acceptance of a donation on behalf of the Henry County Police Department in

the amount of $500 from the Tanger Outlet Center and its merchants. The donation does not require any matching funds and does not have any restrictions on its use.

According to presenter Major Keith Going, officials with Tanger Outlet Center and its merchants credit a part of their success as a result of local public safety personnel working hard to create a safe environment at the shopping outlet and wanted to show their support to the HCPD. Commissioners also approved a resolution authorizing the Henry County Fire Department to purchase uniforms from T&T Uniforms in the amount of $135,000. The purchase is a part of an annual contract with T&T Uniforms, which was previously approved in November.

Brian Preston. “I know that this doesn’t fix all the issues that the Library Board is facing and we know there is a need for more resources, but I’m glad that we could fill this hole.”
