Hello Residents, Family Members, and Friends:

“We will open the book. Its pages are blank. Spring Hills Morristown Residents and Associates will write words on the pages. The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year’s Day.”

I love this quote; it embodies all the enthusiasm we feel for the year of 2017! We will open the Book and write our next chapter. Our fresh Activities, our new Furnishings and our renewed desire to dedicate ourselves to the principles of trust, honesty and respects for your Loved Ones. We will not be able to complete the pages without dedication and commitment.

Highlights of the Month Resident of the Month

This pretty lady was born and raised in Cuba in a little town named Surjidero of Havanacars, which was located in the Havana. Rosario’s mom’s name was Delores and her father’s name was Leonardo. Her mother was a housewife and her father was a teacher for high school level students. He taught many subjects and also worked in a seafood company. Rosario has two brothers and two sisters named Leonardo, Fello (Short for Rafael), Juana and Flora. For fun, together they would all swim in the ocean not too far from their home. Their father would take them to the beach often and they had so much fun! Rosario noticed the love between her parents and how much her mom respected her father. She also mentioned playing ball toss in the street because they had no cars on the road. Another game Rosario enjoyed playing

was a modern day “Jacks”. As an adult, she went to school to become a phlebotomist and an electrocardiograph technician. For a while, she worked at Supermarket General in charge of the payroll, which is currently a Pathmark in Edison, NJ. Later on in life, she had two beautiful girls named Annabelle and Yvonne. She also had a best friend named Alayda who also serves as her eldest daughter’s Godmother. Before coming to Spring Hills, she sold her house in Elizabeth, NJ and her daughters thought it would be a great idea to get some extra help at an assisted living facility. Rosario is thankful for the care she receives at Spring Hills and enjoys keeping busy with participating in activities. We enjoy having Rosario here with us and look forward to having more fun in the future!
