Objectives

• To improve the quality of care to patients through continuing professional education and the promotion of safe clinical practices.

• To provide forums for the exchange of knowledge pertaining to the practice of infection prevention and control as well as other aspects of healthcare related risk management.

pathogens (MRSA, VRE, ESBL and CRE Enterobacteriaceae etc) � Incident investigation, root cause analysis and corrective action planning � Induction and/or support of Infection Prevention and Control Practitioners � Hazardous Biological (HBA) Risk Assessment and/or review (legal requirement) � Advice on the selection and appropriate use of disinfectants for healthcare and clinic use � The science and practice of advanced wound management: including lower limb and Diabetic foot

ulcers; best practice pressure ulcer prevention strategies and clinical management
