Some people come into our lives and leave footprints on our hearts and we are never ever the same.

The Train of LifeThe Train of Life

Mother’s love is something, that no one can explain,It is made of deep devotion and of sacrifice and pain,

It is endless and unselfish and enduring come what mayFor nothing can destroy it or take that love away ...

It is patient and forgiving when all others are forsaking,And it never fails or falters even though the heart is breaking ...

It believes beyond believing when the world around condemns,And it glows with all the beauty of the rarest, brightest gems ...

It is far beyond defining, it defies all explanation,And it still remains a secret like the mysteries of creation ...

A many splendored miracle man cannot understandAnd another wondrous evidence of God’s tender guiding hand.

A MOTHER’S LOVEA MOTHER’S LOVE

Remembering Aunty PatRemembering Aunty PatLike a newborn child we meet each other at life’s station ready to board

not knowing the destination.Anticipation of the journey ahead will everything be on time, will there

be delay, to disrupt the timetable hanging by a thread. Our parents guide us in our carriage sitting beside us like sturdy tracks

on the line, following the safety signs so that we will be fine.Middle aged now we’re halfway through our journey, we start to

appreciate the scenery more out the window, the memories as the train builds up speed.

The conductors we meet along the way making sure we have the right ticket. Some of us end up in first class, others struggle to find a seat on

life’s train it can be a muddle. The wheels well-oiled as we age through life’s journey, we meet our kids,

family as our carriage grows.Feeling sad as time goes by remembering those that had to get off at

stops along the way.As we get closer to our final destination the announcer tells us we are

approaching to get us prepared for what’s coming, getting ready to take our baggage with us.

We then think back to when we first met each other, each memory on the journey of life’s Train.

As we get out and take our final steps on the platform we step, to be reunited again with all we met travelling on life’s train.
