FULL-TIME EMPLOYMENT UCT Disability Services as Intern Psychometrist (10 month contract)

I was employed at UCT in the Disability Services as an Intern Psychometrist from February 2014 until November 2014. My role was to handle all the psychometric assessments for the

application of UCT students for extra time for tests and examinations, as well as roles related to that process. Also, to assist Margie le Roux with any related administration. My duties included:

o Psychometric Testing (can request report with particulars) Administration of various assessments. Scoring of assessments. Report writing.

o Opening and creating files for students. o Phone calls and e-mail correspondence to students, colleagues and parents. o Photocopying, filing and other administrative tasks. o Data capturing for research purposes and efficient processing.

Reason for leaving: Internship concluded (Became a Registered Psychometrist).

Earning Specialist at SPEAR (Specialist Earnings):

I was employed at Spear from January 2015 to September 2015 as an Earnings Specialist. Spear does earnings assessment reports in the Medico-Legal field. My duties included:

o Using Actuarial Methodologies and applying it to Industrial Psychology principles.o Interviewing claimants that have Road Accident Fund claims or Medical Claims.o Liaising with Attorneys. o Earnings research and report writing.

Because Spear is a fast growing organisation with a lateral organisational structure, I had the opportunity to propose and implement processes and additional projects. These include:

o Appreciative Inquiry Training Facilitator for the Spear teamo Recruitment business plan, development and presentation, to diversify company’s

revenue streams.o Proposing and implementing a flexi-time strategy for Spear.o Managing day-to-day operational processes.

Reason for leaving: Mutual Termination

Industrial psychology Intern at Santam Insurance (1 year contract) I started working at Santam on 1 February 2016 as an HPCSA Industrial psychology student (PS S 0127086). The internship is a full-time internship programme that will conclude 31 January 2017. Santam offers insurance for South African citizens in the agriculture sector, as well as for, personal, commercial or specialist reasons.

The objective of the internship programme is to convert knowledge and understanding into professional practice, and to develop skill and experiences in the field of applied industrial psychology. This will be done under the supervision of senior industrial psychologists, Annemarie Christodoulou and Michele Visser, in order to ensure adherence to ethical standards and that the standard of learning is at the appropriate level.

My exposure includes the following prescribed fields of study:
