Hi All-

Welcome to summer! Let’s get things kicked off right with our Six 100 mile rides. Check out the awesome flyer made by our own Julie Sullivan. Yes, she does exist. And if you come out for a ride, you just might get to meet her in person. I will have copies of the flyer to hand out at the meeting on Saturday, so think about places you could post them, or actual people you could hand one to and invite for a ride.

I have also included a flyer for this year’s Nebraska Grand Tour, prepared with her usual awesomeness by Barb Mills, Member-at-Large. This year, finally, I think Jim and I will be able to do this one. We’d better, because I’m going to pay money to register, and we’re so cheap, we’d better do it to get our money’s worth.

I haven’t included a flyer for Region C Rally or Gold Rush, because they are already on our regional and national websites, and if you are going to either or both of those, you probably have made up your mind already. The Grand Tour looks like a lot of fun, and our own 100 mile rides are going to be a blast. I know not everyone will be able to make all the rides, but there are a variety of days and times, so let’s all try to get out and ride some and meet some people.

There is a new recruitment program underway, check out the particulars in the GWTA news section. I love you all, but wouldn’t it be fun to recruit some new people who can pick on Mike Brush and tease Dan Dolan? I’m sure you know some people who would fit right in. Call them up and invite them on a 100 mile ride or to visit a “Red, White and Blue” location. I promise Jim will behave himself (at least until we get them to join, then all bets are off) so we don’t scare them off.

For every new recruit you bring into GWTA, you get:

•FREE registration to Goldrush in 2016*

•$10.00 off your regional rally registration **

•$10.00 off your state/provincial rally registration **

* If the recruiting of the new member(s) occurs after June 1, 2016 and the recruiting member cannot attend in 2016, a $10.00 coupon for a future Goldrush will be issued.

** These credits have no cash value.

•There is no ‘cash back’ option. For example, if you have recruited four new members (a credit of $40.00), and your state/provincial rally registration fee is $35.00, the remaining $5.00 is not returned in cash

•Rally credits you hold are to be applied at the time of registration. If you acquire additional rally credits after you have registered for the current year rally, you will need to hold them to apply toward the following year’s rally. In other words, you will not get cash back on rally registration monies you have already expended

•There is a two year expiration period from the time of issue of the credit

•Credits are non-transferable

BONUS: If you recruit five new members, you will also get a one year credit of your membership dues (non-transferable).

Program begins April 1, 2016, and will be managed by Mike and Carol Brush. They will be responsible for issuing the appropriate credits to members who have recruited other members. Coupons will be issued as soon as they receive the recruiting information, including the new member’s name and membership number, from the national office.

GWTA Chapter A Meeting Minutes Dillon Brothers Harley Dealership April 2, 2016 The meeting was opened at 10:00AM by Chapter Director Karen Durand. There were 14.5 members present [.5 for Dan Dolan :)]. Barb and Ed Mills were present, our guests, and only members from Chapter M. Thank you, Barb and Ed! The previous month's meetings were published in the last news letter. Thank you to Karen Durand♡!A motion to pass the minutes was postponed. The Treasurer's Report was presented. A motion passed and was seconded to accept the report as read Old Business: 1. Region C Rally (June 9, 10,&11) 2. Gold Rush (July 10-14) 3. 100 mile bike ride schedule (organized by Chapter A) ☆☆Break time for Group Photo☆☆ Can't forget that♡♡! New Business: 1. Hand Signals discussed for group ride events (handout given) 2. Discussed group riding rules; 6-10 max per group, 1-2 sec riding distance, staggered line-up. 3. Discussed one of rides (May 21) for BACA event ( Bikers Against Child Abuse).....Not to be one of the 100 mi rides! Poker Run:) 4. Theme for NE Grand Tour..."Red, White, and Blue" Had a Veteran discussion with Ed Mills.... VERY INTERESTING FELLA:).....We love you, Ed!Yes, Dave T especially loves AH♡ 5. Good workout for the riders☆☆ 7. Ice Run(LOL!!) to Valley......Dave reminded me that my notes were messed up and it was PROBABLY "Ice Cream" run on April 6...weather contingent!!!......No ICE on the roads, ya think? 8. Barb Mills gave a reminder....Don't forget to sign up (online) for 50-50 tickets for Gold Rush Motion was made and seconded to close the meeting. Karen adjourned the meeting at 11:15!
