    About this book

    Here is my collection of over 30 delicious, nutritious, fat-blasting smoothie recipes which

    can be used for a quick, healthy snack, powerful pre or post workout shake or a break-

    fast when youre in a rush.

    It really isnt rocket science, like a lot of the chain smoothie shops try to make it appear,

    when needing a great tasting and high energy meal.

    The majority of products you will need are amulti blend protein powder (like LEAN),

    wheat germ, oatmeal, soy powder, rice powder, axseed oil, natural peanut butter,

    fruit, veggies and a variety of milk products. All of the products required for these

    shakes can be found at your local health food store.

    You will discover how creative you can be with these meals by adding a variety of a-vours like tofu, jams, combinations of fruits, veggies, honey, gram crackers, mint and

    syrups, but this will alter the nutritional value.

    Youll denitely want to invest into a blender and a juicer (anywhere from $40-$100each) but consider this an investment that will actually save you money because you

    will eat out less and eat less protein bars.

    Making these power meals for your friends will become an instant hit and I think you will

    really enjoy the wide variety of new fat blasting recipes you have for your arsenal.

    Creative Options and Criteria to making your own protein shake:

    Carbs --> should come from oatmeal, fruit, graham crackers, yogurt, low fat ice

    cream

    Protein --> should come from protein powder, egg whites, milk or cottage cheese

    Fats --> should come from olive oil, nuts, ax oil or natural peanut butter

    Water --> Add one tbsp at a time until smooth and creamy

    Ice cubs --> at least cup but not necessary

    Juice --> can be alternated as liquid but not suggested because its a poor source

    of carbs

    Extras --> be creative and experiment with Oreos, mint extract, vanilla extract,honey etc
