The School District is confident in the Montgomery County Health Departments assurance for the well being of our students and staff. According to the Montgomery County Health Department, there are various types of Bacterial Meningitis; some that are isolated and some that require additional public health action. This type of Bacterial Meningitis was an isolated event and therefore presented no risk to our school community. We want to remind our community that when there are communicable disease events that require additional public health action, our School District collaborates with Montgomery County Health Department officials to ensure that appropriate measures are taken. As in all cases dealing with medical information, we strive to protect the privacy of those involved. To that end, no further information can be released regarding details of this confirmed case. The Montgomery County Health Department has advised District officials to inform our families who may have inquiries to contact the Departments Division of Communicable Disease Control at 610-278-5117. Another option for inquiry response is to contact your healthcare provider.
