    Headmasters Newsletter 63

    26 February 2016

    Pamper Evening

By the time you are reading this newsletter the

school will have been transformed into a beauty

salon, with sweet smelling candles and a range of

treatments and goodies to relax the ladies. Some

well-earned indulgence after a busy week. Many

thanks to all involved in helping make the evening a

    success.

The Reception Class are still awaiting the arrival of

their little chicks the hatch date is Monday. They

candled the eggs using a light source to get aglimpse of the chick inside the egg and have been

busy thinking of names for the new arrival(s). You

can follow their progress on our Facebook page.

Some of the Junior children enjoyed their

Wednesday PE Lesson when they tried their hand at

orienteering. Great fun was had by all!

Thank you to the parent representatives for their

contributions at the Parent Council meeting on

Thursday. These meetings are a very worthwhileforum to discuss any concerns and new ideas and

thank you to all the parents who shared their

thoughts. One of the items discussed was the new

school Facebook page and, as not everyone is yet

aware of it, please do pass the message on and have

    a look!!

It was great to hear the children practicing for their

LAMDA choral speaking exams which are on 8th

March. The children in Years 4 6 who are entered

for the Speaking of Verse and Prose individual exams

Im sure are practicing equally hard at home for

these. They, of course, take part on the same day.

Mrs Gordon was pleased to award two ice-skating

certificates in assembly this morning to Jayden inYear 3 and Thomas in Year 1, as we are always

    delighted to celebrate childrensachievements both

    in an out of school.
