About this workshop

This workshop will have two parts:

1. Proposed changes to the HDR Supervision Enhancement Program (2017) 2. Improving HDR Supervision using action planning

Changes to the HDR Supervision Enhancement Program 2017

1. 2017 workshop registration will be offered via the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) so that your training is automatically included in HROnline (not MQSR)

2. Annual training will be developed in stronger partnership with Faculty3. The Initial Supervision Enhancement Program will be redesigned to

be problem based 4. Two new Modules will be developed – Orientation for Adjunct

Supervisors, Cultural Competence and HDR Supervision

Early warning signs• failing to set regular appointments to monitor progress;• not meeting agreed-upon deadlines;• ignoring the advice they are given by the other party;• failing to interact with one another in a responsive and respectful manner• bad-mouthing one another in conversations with other staff or students;• showing irritability or aggravation;• exchanging bad-tempered or overly emotional communications;• feeling their rights are being undermined.
