WHAT IS IT? Serein is collobration project that was run byboth Anadolu University and Kale Seramik. The world has changed, so has our lives. We livein a faster life where we developed new habits. Weare now in need of instant relaxations as well aswe need a gap from the life. But having a bath isloosing its meaning, while having a shower is notenough. Serein offers 3 new ways of use to user. It is aset of 2 with the washbasin.

    BRIEF

The innovative bathroom collection prototypewhich will have the consumer live concepts asbathroom ritual and well being. Among theexpected aspects of the product in the project areto match the needs of the user for the next 5 yearsbased on anticipation and to increase the effectsof technology on a spiritual level. In a design project, bathroom components andconstituents need to be designed in a particularway as if to form a team. And the key words are purication, well-being,and innovation.

ADVISOR (University) :Fsun CURAOGLUADVISOR (Firm) : Gzde TUFEKCI MERCAN

    PROJECT DEFINITION

The main aspect of the project is to bring forthquality and convenience to the consumers life inan innovative way. Along with this, one otheraspect of the project is to provide the costumerwith an experience based solely on puricationand relaxation within the connes of the bathroomarea. In order to create this atmosphere, thebathroom components are anticipated to bedesigned as a set. By the denition of the project, Radical Neutralityconcept can be used as a guide as it is anticipatedto be the next bathroom trend in the near future.Main aspects of the movement are modernity andrenovation. Lines and forms are kept smooth andrm while high-tech approach is adopted. More-over, natural resources such as wood and stoneare used in their most modern state. Puricationbuilt on opacity is the key word for the project.

PEOPLE DONT TAKE A BATH ANYMORE, BUTTAKING A SHOWER IS NOT THE ANSWER FOR THEULTIMATE RELAXATION EITHER.WHAT IS IT WE NEED?

After reseaches on 5 years based future wecome to the conclusion that bathtubs has lost itsfunction. Especially on a cultural based point,(according to the interviews with 20 women)Turkish women mostly do not think bathtubs arehygienic, it doesnt go further than being some-thing to clean hard once in a while. But yet again ,they insist on keeping their habitsof taking a bath in their shower cabins. Thedesign problem was, is it possible to create a newtypologhy for new needs, and behaviors?

5 SENSES To provide a stronger sense of feeling, we shouldtouch more than one sense. The sound and thesmelling are as important as a visual experience. So we decided to play with the materials in orderto create a new experience

THE IDEAThe main idea behind the bicycle was to create atimeless bike for women that would mean more-than a transportation item for them. Maybe a bikethat could become what car is for men.

Women inclined to change, follow the fashionand stay updated. So is the bike. I designed leatherparts (the seat, handles and the bags) changable, easy to install so women can customize their bike

when the parts got old, when she got bored or alittle depressed, or maybe just for the event tomake her bike t her outt. Every season The Bike is supposed to launch anew set, in seasons colours.
