GM’S notes Hi Everyone, As Linda and I took Gracie out for a birthday lunch and consumed enough wine to sink a battleship, I arrived at the car park late and disorganised. As usual, lovely ladies stepped into the breech and sorted me out! 41 members came to the big Waterfall car park and we had one paying guest – Julian + other invited guests from Tuesday Kakis. Nice to see you all at a Harriets run!! You are welcome anytime. Hot Lips told us to follow the paper with the hares names on and couldn't recall how many checks, bars etc there were. Off the runners went and as I stayed in the car park I will leave Justbeer to tell you about the run. It was one of those typical evenings for this time of year where you crouch beneath brollies trying to ignore the torrential rain. We had a brief circle. First on ice was Kim Looi who completed 900 runs last week (She was on night duty last week and hence the delay in presentation). Many, many congratulations to Kim Looi. It is such a feat to achieve these numbers of runs! You are a true hasher! She was followed by Gracie who was celebrating her xxth birthday. Happy birthday Gracie! Thanga escaped the ice as he was still getting changed but it was his birthday earlier in the week. Happy birthday to you too! Next on ice were the hares Hot Lips and Datin. The crowd was unanimous in its praise of the run, the delicious food and the convenient, if unsheltered, run site. Last on ice was GM for multiple sins such as not running, being under the influence etc. etc. etc. The circle was then closed for even more social drinking! Many thanks to Hot Lips and Datin for a fun-filled evening! Thanks also to all the members that signed up for the Rainforest run. See you all next week. On On......

If you have any requests/articles/information to give the members please contact me. If you have a problem setting your run please contact a member of the committee as soon as possible but no less than eight weeks prior to your date. Less than this and it becomes YOUR responsibility to find a swap!!! I have the hash paper please let me know if you need it! Rubbish!!! Please take care of your rubbish and not just throw it about anywhere!!! Waste bags are always available at our gatherings yet we still find rubbish strewn about. If we want to be welcomed back to our venues we should take care to make sure the area is clean when we leave! The committee are not here to clean up your rubbish. Please be thoughtful and dispose of all rubbish carefully. The Hareline for 2010 is now published for the first three months of the year. Please let me have your run sites urgently. We have an open letter from a member, who has invited comments from you all. Dear GM and Committee Members, This week's run (12 Nov 2009) is yet another last minute change to the run site. This must stop! Imagine the trouble some will go through if they do not access their email or are absent from the previous run(s) !!! Run sites must be fixed for at least one month in advance, unless there is an earthquake or 5-foot deep flood at the designated run site. For earthquakes and floods, we can read from the local newspapers or see on TV. Let's have some discipline, please. On! On! Finally, I would like to draw your attention to the Hash Challenge, details below. You don’t have to do the challenge itself as there are other runs being laid as well. It should be fun and we will be supporting our fellow Hasher Chapter. Deadline for registration has been extended to 20th November for Harriets, after which time there will be additional fees plus no guarantee of freebies! A short (SCB) Burst As Tina mentioned above here is a SCB (but only a tiny bit since we had a guest with us!!!) review of the run!!! A group of 4 ladies, chatting as usual, strolled from the run site towards the ‘IN’ at the Indian Temple but as usual we ‘missed’ the paper and followed the steps up behind the Temple where suddenly we were ‘On Paper’ once again, where unfortunately we met Mini Sausage who caught us being off paper and SCBing and at such an early stage too!!!! Damn!!! We continued up the track to where the paper went down to the right but being ‘hosts’ to our guest we decided to follow the track straight on up. But would you believe it despite our slowness (and chatting all the way) we met both with paper AND Mini sausage once more!!!!!!!!!! He chided us once again for SCBing although he did pause to chat with us for a little while and then he was off once again at his usual breakneck speed. As we progressed at our breakneck speed (that is ultra slow) Akz Hole, General and some others caught us up. Some passed but because it was then beginning to get dark both AH and G stayed with us to ensure our safe return. True gentlemen!!! We finally hit the ridge and then continued along the path. There was an opportunity to SCB once again but we decided to follow paper this time and regretted it thereafter, since had we done so we would have come to the ‘On down’ somewhat sooner. By the time we hit the top of Lily Pond it WAS dark. Then we had the tortuous time of climbing steadily down, firstly without torchlight but then in desperate need of torchlight as the darkness grew blacker around us. Thank goodness the authorities had replaced the flimsy ropes with stout, thicker new ones. It is never an easy down even in daylight. In darkness it is very difficult. No wonder the FTAC, who were running the same area as us used Lily Pond as their ‘On Up’ and not their ‘On Down’. In fact their run was almost the exact opposite of ours!! Then hurrah, hurrah we made it safely to the bottom only to be almost flat on our backs on the tiled area by the Lily Pond itself. From there it was a pleasant walk back to the run site (chatting as usual) before the rain started in earnest. All in all a good cardiovascular workout but Lily Pond in the dark is NOT to be taken lightly. In fact it would be better to be taken in the light!! ON ON

followed by Welcome Dinner. 26th June - Main Run Day

27th June - Hangover Run

He said, 'Well, if you must know, tonight when I get home, my parents are going out to a restaurant to eat, leaving me at home with a baby-sitter. After they leave, my baby-sitter will have sex with me because she just happens to be very fond of cute little boys. She will then get the disease that I just caught. When Mum and Dad get back, Dad will take the baby-sitter home. On the way, he'll give her one in the car and he'll catch the disease. Then when Dad gets home from the baby-sitter's, he and Mum will go to bed and have sex, and Mum will catch it. In the morning when Dad goes to work, the Milkman will deliver the milk, have a quickie with Mum and catch the disease, and HE'S the pr1ck who ran over my FROG!'
