painting. Since paying off the debt for the renovation, we have been slowly building up our savings in order to address these issues. However, our needs exceed our current resources. We are grateful for all you do to offer financial support for our parish. Special thanks to those who responded to our offertory increase campaign two years ago, and for your generous support of this year’s CSA.

At the approval of the Worship Commission, we have made a change to the times for Eucharistic Exposition. Exposition will be on Tuesdays following the 8:00 AM Mass until closing at 6:00 PM in the Resource Center. We will also have Eucharistic Exposition prior to Friday morning Mass, beginning at 7:00 AM. For liturgical correctness, due to the change to extended Exposition following Mass on Tuesdays, beginning in October, we will no longer have Exposition prior to Tuesday morning Mass. This Tuesday will be the last time we have Exposition prior to Mass on Tuesday mornings. We remind you that Eucharistic Adoration can take place outside of Eucharistic Exposition. Prayer before the tabernacle, in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament, is also a form of Eucharistic Adoration. The worship space is open for such prayer every day from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Eucharistic adoration in either form is a powerful prayer, and I believe, can help all of us grow spiritually. We encourage you to come and participate.

God Bless You,Fr. Ron

HELP US CREATE A GREAT GUEST EXPERIENCE // JOIN THE FIT TEAM AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE

The First Impressions Team (FIT) at St. Isidore is looking for very special people to join in this important ministry. We need people with warm smiles and genuinely joyful attitudes as we greet both long-time parishioners and new friends who may be joining us for the first time. Could that FIT greeter be you?

FIT is looking for families, individuals, couples, young, old and everything in-between to join this important hospitality ministry.

There are no assigned Masses or days of service. You simply pick up your name lanyard before Mass and take up a station at one of the entry doors to the church. All that you need to do is smile and welcome parishioners and guests to our church family! We’ve even got a way to hold your seat while you are greeting before Mass. It’s such a simple way to serve our St. Isidore community.

If you would like more information or to sign up to be a FIT hospitality greeter, call the Church office (586-286-1700) or Karen at 586-202-5912.

“You may think that you are completely insignificant in this world. But someone drinks coffee every morning from their favorite cup that you gave them, heard a song on the radio that reminded them of you, remembered a joke you told and smiled, loves him/herself a little more because you gave them a compliment. Never think that you have no influence whatsoever. Your trace, which you leave behind with good deeds, can never be erased.” (Christina Makeyeva) Your St. Isidore Baby Pantry extends to you our heartfelt thanks for all you do to help us. God bless each of you!If possible, please donate:• Pull-ups, all sizes• Diapers – sizes 3 & 4Thank you!

PRAYER BLANKET MINISTRYPrayer blankets & shawls are available in the office “We must lift the fallen, restore the broken, and heal the hurting.” (anonymous)Please help us do this by joining our crochet/knit group. We meet on Thursdays @ 11:00, usually in the social hall, to make and donate prayer lap blankets (or shawls). Call the church office during regular business hours to have one of our group members call you and answer any questions you may have. Parishioners can get one of our prayer blankets or shawls – free of charge - in the St. Isidore office for a person who needs comfort due to a medical, emotional, or spiritual crisis in their life. We always pray for our recipients.

If you want a better understanding of our faith, and a deeper relationship with God, then you should join us for The Bible Timeline Study, on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month.

More information contact Ray Karam: [email protected] Register through the church office.

S M A L L G R O U P SSmall Groups is where our large church gets small. These groups meet to discuss faith, go deeper in the weekly message, and support one another in their relationship with Christ. This is the place to care for others and be cared for; a place to impact our community and the world. Small Groups are a great place to explore, ask questions, and grow. Here are a few to check out:

The Catechism was written to deepen our knowledge of the Catholic faith. Let’s read the United States Catholic Catechism for Adults together. The study of our Catholic Faith will focus on the Church’s teachings on Our Profession of Faith, The Sacraments, Living Our Faith, & Prayer. The group will meet Wednesday mornings beginning September 19. Each week the group will read and discuss a portion of the Catechism. Your homework will be to grow in understanding and wisdom. Cost is $15.

More information contact Ray Karam: [email protected] Register through the church office.

Straight to the Point is a new men’s bible study starting up this fall on Tuesdays at 6AM. Yup… that’s not a typo… six in the morning. Why? It’s a great way to start the day and still get to work on time. STP is lectionary based, focusing on the weekend’s readings and our Connecting Point. STP will be done in an hour and there will be coffee! This is a great way for the working professional to add a no-obligation spiritual component to his week.Beginning September 18.

Join other professionals in adding this to your morning routine.Questions? Contact Chris Kozlowski • [email protected]

UTE Pastoral Music

This week, pastoral musicians will gather for “In Service of the Sacred,” a conference on music and liturgy presented by the archdiocesan Academy of Sacred Music at Sacred Heart Major Seminary.

Conference keynotes will cover “Authentically Catholic,” “Authenticity in Gospel Worship,” and “Authenticity in Spanish Worship,” complementing conference sessions on planning bilingual liturgies and praise and worship in liturgy.

Your CSA gifts support the work of the Christian Worship Office, which certifies pastoral musicians in the Archdiocese of Detroit and coordinates the Archdiocesan Chorus along with other music ministries.
