Take Our Kids To Work Day On Wednesday, November 14 the grade nine students will participate in Take Our Kids To Work Day. HCS students will be out and about experiencing different careers in our community. In order to participate students must have their permission slips signed. Students who are not taking part or do not have a permission slip signed must attend regular classes for the day. Emma’s PJs Drive For the third year in a row HCS will be a drop off spot for the Emma’s PJs Pajama Drive. Students and parents are encouraged to donate new, clean PJs for donation to local women’s charities. Donations will be accepted throughout the month of November! Student Morning Drop Off

Due to safety concerns, we are asking that all students be dropped off in the back of the school in the mornings between 7:50 and 8:15. As you circle the building, please use the left lane in the back to drop off and use the right lane to continue on around the building. We are asking that all parents respect this and not drop off in front of the building as it is a safety concern. If you need to enter the building with your student, please park in the parking lot and come in.

Please contact the school if you have questions or concerns. Huskies Have Heart!

This year HCS introduced a new motto: Heart. Character. Strength.

To help our elementary students understand our motto they will be focusing on one aspect of the motto for three months at a time. Our students are being encouraged to help keep our hearts smooth, by not using words that hurt, and wrinkle their hearts. Parents can continue to encourage kind and caring language at home to help make sure we help, and don’t hurt with the words we say.
