FREE SUMMER CONCERT SERIES 2019

Spiros Exaras studied guitar andcomposition at the Athens Conservatory of Music. A prolific explorer on his instrument, he likes to perform different styles such as jazz, rock and world music.

Spiros became the lead guitarist of numerous prominent composers and singers. He performs jazz, rock and world music, playing for concerts, films and recordings.

The Blue Hill Brass has been delighting audiences for over twenty years. This group of versatile musicians will make any event exciting, memorable and most important-Fun!

Nor’Easters Barbershop Chorus has a membership of all ages, but they share common interest in harmony, the love of music and the camaraderie of barbershop music. Royal River Chorus of Yarmouth, chartered with the international organization of Sweet Adelines in January, 1985 with 25 members and their melodies have grown in size and talent ever since.

Portland Jazz Orchestra is Maine’s premier concert jazz ensemble. This 18-piece group performs a variety of traditional and contemporary big band literature. The PJO is made up of professional musicians, many of whom are both performers and educators in New England. Members of the PJO have performed, recorded and toured with numerous artists.

Coastal Winds is Freeport’s community band, comprised of over 35 talented woodwind, brass and percussion musicians. Their dedication reflects a great love of music appealing to all ages.

Erica Brown and the Bluegrass Connection A lively performance is guaranteed with this band’s mastery of timing and American roots.  “One of the best fiddlers in Maine …gives musicians a good name” -D. Anger

Studio Two, pays tribute to the early Beatles years, choosing songs from the pre-Sgt. Pepper era. By recreating the Fab Four’s music, appearance, instruments, and onstage banter, Studio Two performs favorite hits that will bring people to the dance floor.

Pretty Girls Sing Soprano is a local trio singing Americana and contemporary songs with tight, original vocal harmonies sharing their love for acoustic and a cappella music from folk, country, bluegrass, and rock.

The Pat Colwell and the Soul Sensations are a 7 piece R&B and Motown Dance Band that play can’t-sit-still classic to contemporary consisting of amazing male and female lead singers with lush vocal harmonies, and fantastic instrumentalists on guitar, bass, keyboards, drums, and saxophone.

Join us with your friends and family for music au plein air! Bring a picnic, a chair or your favorite blanket and let the music surround you by the shores of beautiful Casco Bay.

Harpswell Concert Band is 50 area instrumentalists in their 7th season at the Bandstand by

the Sea. The HCB consists of a wonderfully talented mix of about 50 area professional and amateur instrumentalists Under the leadership of Robert Modr, they

perform music that is challenging to the players and familiar to audiences.
