From April 1st to April 4th, HAROPA will participate into the Intermodal Exhibition in Sao Paulo. An opportunity to meet Brazilian customers and present HAROPA service offer.
HAROPA (Le HAvre – ROuen – PAris) is an Economic Interest Group (EIG) grouping together, since early 2012, the strategy, networks, sales and communication teams of the French ports of Le Havre, Rouen and Paris. As the first North-European port called at for world trade, the port complex enjoys an exceptional geographic location along the northern seaboard of France and irrigates the European market owing to the quality and fluidity of the connection networks.
5th biggest North-European port, HAROPA is positioned as a major maritime hub in Europe, equipped with a competitive and sustainable logistics system. As it integrates the logistics chain from one end to the other, with an efficient and environment-friendly service to the hinterland, HAROPA offers comprehensive and high-performance solutions.
Connected to the whole world with a first-class international shipping offer, the ports of Le Havre, Rouen and Paris generate a total of more than 120 million tons of maritime and river trades, that is a 6% rise in 2013. Owing to around 1,000 hectares of land and reserves available dedicated to industrial and logistics installations, the business impact of the port system is very significant.

Reception of the biggest container vessels: around 300 container vessels of a capacity higher than 10,000 TEU received in 2013 in Le Havre. From December 2012, CMA CGM container vessels of the type of the « Marco Polo » (more than 16,000 TEU) call in at Le Havre.

HAROPA, a momentum of confidence: The 2nd world biggest shipping line invests M€ 160 in the port of Le Havre
Stephan Snijders – General Manager of MSC France –clearly states MSC’s ambitions: « Port 2000 enables our biggest vessels to benefit from a 16m draught. That’s why we launched three new feeder services in 2013 at the port of Le Havre, thus accounting for around 350,000 additional TEU per year. This decision is the first step of a phase of growth at the port of Le Havre ». MSC plans new development in shipping services, thus strengthening the Le Havre marketplace as a major maritime hub.
