I have many things to be thankful for this Thanksgiving Day.First, I want to thank my family for being so kind, nice, and loving. Myfamily helps me a lot. They make me happy when I am sad. Secondly,I am thankful to be a Texan. Texas is my home and I always feel verycomfortable and relaxed when I am home in Texas. People from Texasare very kind and friendly as I am. Lastly, I want to thank Moscow forbeing a good second home to me. In Moscow I have met manyinteresting people. I like living in Moscow and it is a beautiful city.

Recipe for “Green Been Casserole”

What You'll Need• 1 can (10 3/4 ounces) Campbell's® Condensed Cream of

Mushroom Soup (Regular, 98% Fat Free or Healthy Request®) 1/2 cup milk 1 teaspoon soy sauce Dash ground black pepper 4 cups cooked cut green beans 1 1/3 cups French's® French Fried Onions 

How to Make It• 1Stir the soup, milk, soy sauce, black pepper, beans and 2/3

cup onions in a 1 1/2-quart casserole.• 2Bake at 350°F. for 25 minutes or until the bean mixture is hot and

bubbling.  Stir the bean mixture.  Sprinkle with the remaining onions.• 3Bake for 5 minutes or until the onions are golden brown.

Brief History• 1620 English Pilgrims set off from Plymouth, England in search of a

new life without religious oppression • Approximately 102 people were on the “Mayflower”• Took about 66 days to reach America• Half the pilgrims died by the spring of starvation and illness• Disease had killed most of the Indian groups in that area of America

before the pilgrims arrived. • Pilgrims were met by and helped by an Indian named Squanto.

Squanto was an escaped slave who spoke English quite well• With the help of Squanto the pilgrims later formed a partnership with

the Wampanoag Indian tribe• Most well-known 1st ever “Thanksgiving” celebration was in

November 1621. But there were other celebrations such as this years before in 1578 in Newfoundland by previous exploring groups from Europe with Indians
