Halloween “Trick or Treat” Party and the Haunted Library

(1st & 2nd year club members – last half of 2nd term)

In English club, you are going to have a Halloween Party!

HOW TO GET STARTED:

STEP 01: Before club (on a different day), the club leaders will think of 2 short scary games. Please see an

example game made by a Japanese student. It is called the Trick or Treat game. The club leaders will host

this game and other two games that they made, as well as choosing scary TV shows for the party.

STEP 02: It’s Halloween Party time! Club members enjoy the scary games. If the club has made their own

Halloween video last term in July, they can watch it and watch other scary TV shows.

STEP 03: On a different day, prepare the Haunted Library (or a haunted classroom). Think about how to

scare your teachers and your classmates! For example, the club members become zombies. Invite them to the

Haunted Library.

Trick or Treat Game

Instruction: Make groups and bring the laminated Halloween card. Each group will go to the teacher’s

room. The group must say TREAT OR TREAT to a teacher. Because the teachers cannot give

chocolate and candies, they can sign their name on the Halloween cards. If they don’t hear TREAT

OR TREAT, they will not sign their name. After ten minutes, go back to the English club room. The

team that has the most teachers’ names is the winner.

Get your teachers’ Halloween autograph!! Say TRICK OR TREAT.
