My Neighbor’s Children, Inc. 1
Orlando Presbyterian Church is seeking to create a deeper, more
productive relationship with My Neighbor’s Children in partnership with
what we believe God is doing in an exciting and transformative
movement in Haiti. In the following presentation, there is helpful
information on the ministry of My Neighbor’s Children, the current crisis
in Haiti, and our work toward establishing a central center for ministry in
Croix de Boquet. Together, we believe that “No Child Hungry” is not only
a great mission statement but a view of God’s hope for the world.
The Current Crisis• Every day, over 30,000 children die of hunger
and preventable diseases
• Every year, 11 million children die before their fifth birthday.
• Currently, there are over 145 millionchildren orphaned around the world.
• Between the Caribbean and Latin America, there are 12.5 million orphaned children.
• Over 40% of Haiti’s population is under the age of fourteen.
• The Earthquake of January 2010 only made a bad problem worse.
• Haiti is now listed as the poorest country in the World.
THREE Core Objectives
1. Provide Basic NeedsFood and Shelter In a
Safe, Caring and Loving Environment
THREE Core Objectives
2. Provide Basic Medical CareBasic Medical Care Through Medical
Clinics and Hospital Partnerships
THREE Core Objectives
3. Provide Basic EducationBasic Education (K-12) Through Schools,
Partnerships, On-Campus Educators
Through our establishment of the ministry center in
Croix de Boquet, we can support other orphanages
throughout Haiti like Bon Samaritan pictured above.
Through the ministry center, we will be able to house volunteer medical
professionals who can work at the clinic.
The vacant land will provide space for future opportunities like a
school to serve the orphanage as well as possibly the surrounding
community.
The church will not only provide an ongoing worship space for
the community but a gathering space for leadership conferences
where training for preachers, teachers, orphanage staff, and
business developers will be possible.
Our hope of establishing the center for ministry in Croix de Bouquet is to empower other partners in this effort to bring sustainable change to Haiti. We have many partners in this effort who share our common mission. On the next two pages are just some of our partners working together for a world where no child is hungry.

The Leadership 300 program is a vision to bring healthy and sustainable change by raising up 300 leaders for Haiti starting from childhood through college. It is our belief that by connecting young people throughout their development with leaders from Haiti, the United States, and other parts of the world, through the center, we can help grow a new wave of leaders for Haiti and for the world.
