• H4: Extended Essay. Students should havebeen researching over the summer. They needto nish a full draft by 1st week of November.

• H3 and H4: Consistency. Students shouldstay consistent with studies, even whenthere’s no major assessment due (esp. inChinese, Literature, and Math).

• College Exam Reviews. SAT / UPCATreviews can help, but should not come at the

expense of studies and balanced life.

• The rst formation focus for IB students willbe on self management, particularly inregards to time management, study habits, and

emotional regulation.

• A second formation focus will be on serviceand global minded-ness. We hope studentswill “think globally and act locally.”

• Mr. Mel Manahan Mr. will serve as ODSsupervisor. ODS concerns for IB studentsinclude plagiarism, iPad damage / loss, and

absences on days when projects are due.

• 2 - 2.5 hours of study time is sufcient, butstudents need help managing distractions

• There’s always something to do: review

Chinese, read novels , practice Math, EE / CAS • Extracurriculars should promote

commitment and depth - quality, notquantity.
