HOW TO SEARCH ONLINE DATABASESBasics: All databases have similar interface and searching tools Once you learn to search one database, searching in the others will be easier It is always useful to look up the HELP section of the particular database, to spot some

differencesStep-by-step: Choose keywords (terms), synonyms Define relations between keywords using Boolean operators (AND, OR, NOT) truncation, stemming, wildcards (Search tips – for example ProQuest)• * (asterisk): substitutes prefix or suffix• ?
