Naming ConventionPhoto – Overview
• All pictures (jpeg files) within the H-Drive will follow this naming convention to allow faster file searching

Naming ConventionPhoto - Vehicle
• If the photo is specific to the vehicle and the part number does not provide that information, we add a Vehicle wildcard.
• Two-Digit Year – ’00’ = 2000, ’01’ = 2001 etc.
• Vehicle Abbreviation – ‘IMP’ = Impala, ‘CV’ = Crown Vic, ‘INT’ = Intrepid

• Month and Two-Digit Year – 5-04
• This date represents when the picture was taken

• Lowercase letter – ‘a’ = 1, ‘b’ = 2, etc…
• If there are multiple pictures we distinguish them with a lowercase numbering system.

• ‘$’ – The Money Shot
• When there are multiple pictures of the same part, the picture taker will select the “best” picture (Money Shot). They will distinguish this with a ‘$’ at the end of the file name.
