THE MISSION of the Stone Canyon Community Foundation (SCCF) is to support organizations whose endeavors help achieve educational success and positively impact the quality of life and development of “youth in need”in Oro Valley and the greater
Tucson, Arizona area.
In the Fall, Thanks for Giving had record attendance and raised a record $200,937! Dan Regis was the Chair of the event. His team of energetic volunteers coupled with the generosity of the Stone Canyon members resulted in a very successful and enjoyable evening!
In April, the U of A Men’s and Women’s Golf Teams joined us once again to play with Stone Canyon members in Cats in the Canyon. This fund-raiser which was chaired by Joan Manning was a sell out! $82,687 was raised and $10,000 was donated to the U of A Golf Program. As always, we greatly appreciate the support of the Stone Canyon Management, Staff and Ownership for hosting these two fund-raisers at the Stone Canyon Club.
We started the 2018-19 season by celebrating the 10th anniversary of the SCCF. It’s truly amazing that in 10 short years Stone Canyon members have joined together to donate $2.5 million to area non-profit agencies. A very worthy cause....and a truly great response!

The Grants Committee is the “heart” of SCCF. These are the hard-working people who read all the grant applications, visit the non-profit organizations and decide where the money you’ve donated will go. These are the folks who make it happen!

Ever wonder where your donations to the SCCF go?Click HERE for the answer.
Your support directly impacts “youth in need” in Tucson.
Last season, the SCCF sponsored two special events for the enjoyment of the Stone Canyon members. Rosemary and Joel Chansky were instrumental in bringing Ellen Palmer, Healthy Lifestyle Coach, to speak at Stone Canyon. Roger and Ann Looyenga invited their friend, Chris Bickley, a Master Jazz Saxophone player, to entertain us with a wonderful evening of jazz.
Although there was no admission charge for these events, the SCCF received $1735 in donations from the appreciative audiences! A big thank you to the Chanskys and the Looyengas! Do you have a “connection” to invite to an upcoming Canyon Connection event?
Save the Date for the first annual Ladies Holiday Party. Join us at the Clubhouse, December 4th at 5pm for an evening of glitter and merrymaking to support the Stone Canyon Community Foundation.
