GEDA: State Energy Conservation Fund

• As per the provisions of “Energy Conservation Act 2001”, enacted and enforced by Government of India, Government of Gujarat has constituted a fund to be called the “Gujarat State Energy Conservation Fund”.

• Energy and Petrochemicals Department, Government of Gujarat has issued Notification No: GS/2010/67/ECN-1204-525 - (305418) –B dated May 19, 2010

• The Gujarat State Energy Conservation Fund rules are as per the model rules of SECF provided by BEE for reference to GEDA - SDA

• As per the provision of Notification a separate accounts is opened by GEDA - SDA for operation of the Fund

• BEE has released Rs 2.00 Crores to GEDA- SDA for the activities vide letter dated August 13, 2010.

• The SECF shall be utilized as per the terms and conditions of BEE and the Notification issued by Gujarat State Government
