1 Objective Organize Pilgrimage & Tour to the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Mexico City so that we can understand how she is the Model of Enculturated Evangelization. A better understanding of how Our Lady of Guadalupe used Native heritage to bring people to Christ will help us understand how she wants us to use our experience of Ukrainian and other heritage and cultures to evangelize one another. 1. Visit the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe and other Churches 2. Tour sites that will give a historical overview of the Aztecs & other native cultures. This gives a better understanding of their religious practices and the interaction of the Spanish Conquistadors and the Catholic Church. 3. Learn about the Catholic Church’s role in the history of Latin America 4. Tour other prominent sites in Mexico City and Puebla areas. 5. **Our Hotel is a few blocks from the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, therefore there will be opportunities to visit the Shrine in the evenings. ***Pilgrims must be capable of vigorous walking and up to 10km or more per day, including inclines.
