2010 FALL PRODUCT PROGRAM

Are The Key To Our Success

YOU

Plans to Increase ParticipationIn 2009 over 5,500 girls participated in the Fall Product ProgramWe hope to exceed that level in 2010!There are still many more Troops and Girls to get involved in the program

3

Fall Product Sale ParticipationBenefits and Opportunities All Troops are expected to participate in the two Council Sponsored Product Sales.First is the Fall Product Sale and later in the Girl Scout year, the Cookie ProgramVariety of options for Troops and Girls to offer.Delicious nuts and candy at attractive pricesFamily and Friends of Girl Scouts can also order and renew their favorite magazinesPurchases provide much needed support for local Girl Scouts.

4What about the stuff? To those carrying out the FSM job, the color and type of recognitions may not be that important. These items may just be one more thing to deal with. However, these recognitions greatly influence the girls and their willingness to participate. We are proud of our selections because we not only have items that the girls like, but when mom and dad get them home, the items are actually nicer than their pictures. The end experience is not one of disappointment, thus helping to build parental and girl support in the future. In fact, the perceived value of most of our items is actually far greater than the cost to the council. We brought along some of the items we are offering this year so that you might see the quality first hand. We put a great deal of effort and time into creating themes that express ideas of value that represent something more than just selling.

42Youve already tried our products. I am sure you found them to be not only of high quality, but also very tasty. We constantly evaluate the market to bring you creative and innovative products to increase sales. For example, this year, we rolled out the seasoned almonds. If taste tests are any indication, we are going to see some tremendous consumer response to this heart-healthy snack. Our Smores mix is a great filling for our Girl Scout collectors tins. We have exclusive rights to produce products made with Worlds Finest Chocolate for Girl Scouts. Our mint melt always are always a hit and our DPC and PBD are in the top three in most of our councils. Our product knowledge is gained from working with councils of various consistencies and make ups. We dont just count on taste-testing results, but we also employ sales stats in our product selection. We work to guide you through the sometimes overwhelming process by giving you some facts on which to base your decision. All of our items are packaged in our new 150,000 sq foot facility in WI where we use our state of the art equipment to ensure your customers get the freshest and best quality product on the market. We were the first in the industry to use color-coded and labeled lids which we package in open, shrink-wrapped cases for easier sorting and separating on all levels.
