Would you like to organise a creative and exciting learning opportunity in the UKfor adult learners from across Europe?
Then why not try a Grundtvig Workshop
What are Grundtvig Workshops?
Workshops are fun learning events which bring together individual or smallgroups of adult learners from several countries for an innovative multinationallearning experience. Learners are also encouraged to share their competencesand insights actively with others.
Funding is available for UK organisations to run a Workshop, on any topic, whichwill bring together adult learners from the UK and at least two other Europeancountries. The Workshop topic has to be relevant to the objectives of theGrundtvig programme and not too heavily dependant on language skills, forexample:
Visual arts, music and creativity
Numeracy, maths and science
Language learning
Active citizenship and intercultural exchange
Environment
What are the benefits?
Benefits for the Workshop organiser: Gain and improve relationships with other organisations who share the same
education and training interests
Opportunity to organise a fun and creative learning event for adult learnersfrom across Europe
Chance to showcase expertise in adult learning
Provide a useful window on Europe for the organisation
Chance to engage UK learners in European activity
Opportunity to raise the profile of the organisation
Benefits for the Workshop participants:

Who can apply?
Any organisation which is a legal entity and can demonstrate acapability to organise a successful European Workshop
Organisations must be from the UK and host the Workshop inthe UK

Whats involved?
Your organisation will need to be prepared to host a Workshop for 5-10 days
Your organisation will be responsible for sorting out all of the logisticalarrangements including accommodation and travel for all participants
Your Workshop should be attractive to, and include, adult learners fromdisadvantaged social groups where possible
As the organiser you will need to advertise your Workshop, once approved, inorder to ensure an adequate number of adult learners attend
All approved Workshops will also be published in a European wide cataloguewhich will be available on all the websites of the National Agencies who run theGrundtvig programme
Up to one third of workshop participants can be from the UK; the rest fromcountries participating in the Lifelong Learning Programme
Funding available includes the subsistence and travel costs of the overseas
learners together with a lump sum management fee
