lovers, it is a place worth visiting. From natural parks, to nature reserves through the plains to the mountains and down to

the clear waters. Some of the activities that we arrange for you or group.

History, culture and architecture

Croatia has a rich history since the Paleolithic that begins on Hušnjak hill - Krapina. The geographical location is a crossing

between the West and East Europe, and it just left a historically beautiful architecture built under the influence of Greek,

Roman, Venetians, Austro-Hungarians, Turks and Ottomans. Each part of the different culture is present today in life, as

well as events that are happening throughout the summer in the coastal regions and on the continent. Let's start with

ancient Salona, from which it emerged today Split and still living monument Diocletian's Palace, the islands of Vis (Issa),

Hvar (Pharos) and Korčula (Corcyra Nigra), to the numerous villas, as well as rural villages in Veriga in Brijuni, Pula and

Trogir to the gladiatorial contests in the amphitheater in Pula. Through the Romanesque to the City of Zadar, monument

city of Trogir and the island of Rab and continue to Gothic in Zagreb, Pazin or instance Ston on the Pelješac peninsula, the

Cathedral, the islands of Hvar and Korčula, and finally, the one and only Dubrovnik. From the very south of Dubrovnik to

the north, one of the most beautiful Baroque cities of Varazdin and beautiful green Zagorje with the most castles in small

spaces that are like a fairy tale at hand.

Food and wine

Croatian cuisine is diverse and distinct from each region. The continental cuisine is typical of the early proto-Slavic roots

and more recent contacts with established schools of gastronomy - Hungarian, Viennese and Turkish. You will enjoy in

Meat products, freshwater fish and vegetables.

While the coastal region is characterized by the influence of the Greeks, Romans, Illyrians and later Mediterranean cuisine

- Italian and French are many seafood specialties (squid, cuttlefish, octopus, shrimp, lobster ...) prepared in various ways,

olive oil, prosciutto, various vegetables, Dalmatian wines such as Babić, Malvasia, Prosecco, vrbnička žlahtina and various

liqueurs like the famous Maraschino.

However, it is most important that Croatia will not be hungry or thirsty. Croats cherished tradition of genuine homemade

food.

If you're a lover of wine, olive oil, truffle and real homemade specialties here are our examples of how to experience a

wealth of food and wine.

Practical info

Currency and Measurement

Currency values fluctuate from country to country. The Euro, denoted by the € symbol (or EUR), has simplified traveling

among many European countries. Before the Euro, exchanging money was time-consuming and costly. Fortunately, all

coins and banknotes in the euro system can be used throughout the Euro zone. Countries currently using the Euro include

Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta,

the Netherlands, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia and Spain.

Most European countries levy a form of sales tax called a value-added tax (VAT). International shoppers can apply for a

refund of the VAT on certain goods purchased. Always ask the place of purchase if they participate in the VAT refund

program. Keep your receipts and ask which forms you need to fill out at the time of purchase. Be prepared to show the

goods to customs officials at your point of departure from the European Union.

Currency Converter LINK: www.itt-travelagency.com/currency-converter/

Croatia has its own currency but the Euro is accepted everywhere. Ask where to change your tour guide. Exchange

offices, have poor rates. Banks better.

Customs

Visas & Passports

All travelers to Europe, including infants, require a valid passport. Some countries may not accept a passport that will expire

within six months of your departure. Apply for a new one if this applies to you. Ask the embassy or consulate of the country

or countries you wish to visit for visa regulations. Foreign visitors may obtain a single Schengen visa to visit any of the 25

countries in the Schengen area. These countries include Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland,

France, Hungary, Germany, Greece, Holland, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Norway, Poland,

Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland. You may still need to obtain a separate visa to visit a European

country outside this area. Should you lose your passport, report it to the local police. The nearest consulate or embassy for

your country can reissue your passport when you are abroad. Carry a photocopy of your passport separate from your actual

passport to speed up replacement time. In most cases, you cannot leave Europe without a valid passport.

Customs Regulations

It pays to know the customs regulations in your country of residence. Regulations vary, but usually travelers are allowed

to bring in goods up to a certain value. Duty is charged on anything over that limit. Find out forms of payment accepted at

customs in the event you must pay duty. Food can be the trickiest items to bring home from Europe unless it is commercially

packaged and cooked. Sweets or chocolates are usually acceptable.

Weather LINK FOR EU BY CONTRY www.visiteurope.com/en/practical/weather

Croatia enjoys three different climates: The coast has a pleasant Mediterranean climate with a high number of days of

sunshine per year. Summers are hot and dry and winters are mild and wet. Temperatures drop slightly as you move inland,

where the climate is continental and moderate. Once you climb above 1,200 m, you’ll be greeted with fresh mountain air

and temperatures around 13 ºC in the summer months.

Free Wifi

Gone are the days when going away meant going completely off the map. Thanks to Croatia’s 300 free WiFi hotpsots,

keeping up with family, friends and what’s going on back home has never been easier.

About Croatia

The Croatian national territory totals 56.594 km2 with 31.479 km2 of coastal waters for sailing, swimming and diving.

Croatia occupies the largest area of the eastern coast of the Adriatic Sea which, as a part of the Mediterranean Sea,

penetrates deep into the European continent. The narrow Dinara Mountain Range separates the country’s Mediterranean

region from its central European continental section, which spans from the easterly edges of the Alps in the north west to

the shores of the Danube in the East, encompassing the southern part of the fertile Pannonian lowlands. And if the beauty

of such landscapes weren’t enough, here’s a refreshing piece of news: tap water is drinkable across all of Croatia.
