Located only minutes from downtown Savannah, where the Eighth Air Force was activated in 1942, the Museum features over 90,000 square feet of exhibits, interactive displays, historical artifacts & a magnificent collection of
aviation art.
Experience a flight mission, visit a world renowned Research Center and honor heroes and the fallen in our beauti-ful Memorial Garden. The World War II B-17 Flying Fortress, the “City of Savannah,” is undergoing a complete
restoration inside the Museum’s Combat Gallery.

GROUP TOUR RATES: $10/ADULTS, $5/CHILDREN
We are pleased to be able to offer group tours of the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force. These tours can
be self-guided or guided by our incredible Museum Docents. If you choose for a self-guided group tour, you will want to
plan on a minimum of two hours. Our Docent guided tours last two hours. If you have limited time, let us know and we
will tailor a tour to your needs.
All group tour admissions are $10 per adult, $5 per child, and we request a minimum of 10 guests for this group
rate. We also offer two Group Tour Packages with meals:
Lunch and Tour
$22 per Guest (Lunch available 11 am - 2 pm)

~ Relax and enjoy a buffet luncheon either before or after your tour by our in-house restaurant,
Miss Sophie’s Marketplace. Lunch includes:

Afternoon Tour & Dinner
$27 per Guest (Tour at 3 pm, Dinner at 5 pm)

Each exhibit becomes a compelling and powerful example of sacrifice, courage, and
patriotism. Among the exhibits are Prelude to War, Battle of Britain, From Savannah
to the UK, and the Honoring the Eighth Gallery. The Mission Experience and Combat
Gallery include vintage aircraft, interactive exhibits
and static displays. Escape and Evasion, and the
Prisoner of War are all stories relating experiences of
various bomb and fighter groups of the Eighth. Post
World War II, Tuskegee Airmen and Fly Girls of World
War II are the most recent areas of exhibition. Each
exhibit dramatically tells a unique story of World War
II. The Colonial Group Inc., Art Gallery displays a
permanent collection of paintings from the world's
leading aviation artists

One of the most popular exhibits
is the Museum’s very own World
War II B-17 Flying Fortress. This
B-17 is undergoing a complete
Treasure the quiet solitude of the Memorial
Gardens and our Chapel of Fallen Eagles,
replica of a 16th Century English Chapel.
We recommend tours arrive no later than 3 pm.
Please reserve packages 30 days in advance. The
Museum is open 7 days a week, 9 am - 5 pm with
the exceptions of Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas
& New Year’s Day
