Our groups initial thoughts

�  Clearly we haven't sorted out the sounds yet so this is something we really need to work on- we need to find the perfect song and time it to our clips and some extra sound effects.

�  There are some clips we have decided that we don’t want anymore as they are pointless and don’t make much sense. This will also shorten it down and make it more like a teaser trailer

�  Titles need adding and changing

�  We are very pleased with our progress so far, however a lot of editing still needs to be done

We presented our rough cut to 4 groups and got them to fill out a form. Here are the results:

Good pace and there is lots of varied shots, good framing in areas.

Voice over on phone, sound at end is good, man flashing in and out is good, home video is good, editing at beginning when it flashes

Good camera angles, sound works well with the pace, different range of shots work well, the last shot is good

�  Shots and angles, costumes/props, jump cut in the park, phone call voiceover, home videos bit, effects

�  Some of the shots might not be necessary so could be taken out, adding some titles and order the shots better to make the the overall plot of the trailer make sense

�  Cuts at the beginning make it very stop start and slow, its quite confusing so we didn’t really understand the idea, more sound is needed at the beginning

�  Add an ident, the storyline is confusing at the start of the trailer, change the contrast of lighting in some shots

�  The shot where she is tied up could be made darker, shot of the park could be darker, add an ident and add titles and a release date

Analysis of results

�  Getting feedback from these groups from our target audience has been extremely useful as it has helped us pick up changes that need to be made that we had not yet considered. Finding out what they think of it is very important to us as it is them that needs to like our film, as it is for them!

�  Overall we have noted a lot of changes that need to be made to make it appeal even more to our target market. We are going to arrange the clips in a slightly different order as most of the groups agreed that the storyline is’nt clear, and we may also delete some clips that arent necessary. Some shots are going to be made darker in order for the sinister feel to be put across. But most importantly, we are going to change our music completely and find a song that matches our rhythm and feel even better. We are also going to add in our ident that we have made and all of our titles.
