The results reveal that readings are not homogeneous since samples have been taken at different times and under different weather conditions, which have surely influenced the parameters themselves
Analysis of the results
Well no.3 (the nearest to the town)_ has all the parameters examined which do not diverge from those provided for by laws in force
Wells no.1-2-4-5 _ have a high concentration of nitrate.
This high level is maybe due to the use of fertilizers containing nitrate
Well no.5 _ has a sulphate concentration exceeding 250 mg/l (the highest reading provided by law)
Neither coliform nor micro-organisms have been found through microscopic tests; hence, we can assert that there is no biological pollution
However, the conclusions we have drawn cannot be considered as definitive as they the result of the analyses carried out within a limited period of time
