    GREGGS GEMS AND MINING

    NEWSLETTER

    Ecuador

    March 2011

This is an invitation to join a gold mining venture in Ecuador, with our firm, Gregg's Gems andMining. We have been mining and buying diamonds and gold in West Africa for 14 years andhave decided it is time to head South. I have written 29 books on these subjects and you can findthem at my website, pitiful as it is, at www.greggsgemhouse.com

I know some of you out there are Parrot Heads (Jimmy Buffett) fans. Keeping that, in mind, hereis part of a song of his. I think it sums up pretty well how I feel now and how I am sure many ofyou feel as well. This project will have a couple of options as well that makes the venture morefun and more chances of profitability. So read on and see what you think and if you areinterested then contact us at the address listed and we will get back to you immediately.

After a while it is time to move to another place and other people and it is our time now. I amready to move to latitude and that is down south a ways. I have known of Ecuador and other

areas down there for many years, actually since 1965, and now it is time to go. Everything in itstime, as they say. This country has intrigued me since I was reading the Argosy magazine backin my high school days with all the Inca gold and other items there. I did not know how muchgold was there until a couple of years ago but now that I know it is time to go get a few kilos of itand put it away for a rainy day and from what I can see in the US that day is coming sooner thanlater.

The above gold is from one area called Tena which is abundant with gold bearing rivers andland. The bucket isclose to 807 pounds (366 kilos) and at today's price ($1438.50 an ounce for24kt gold). 22kt gold is worth $1315 an ounce or $42,080 a kilo. That makes the bucket worth$15,401,280. Not bad for a years work or less. I did not talk to the owner of the gold but even ifit took two years it is a great return on time.

It also shows what gold is there and how it looks and the size of the nuggets. It makes it easier toget it when it is in the nugget form and not in the flower form as you see in many places. Thegood thing about this is that gold will keep going up in value and when we can get it as cheap aswe can there (Ecuador) we are winners no matter what the gold price falls to, if it does. It hasgone up every year for the last few years as we all know and all you have to do is look ontelevision and see five different firms if not more, selling gold.

Gold has always been a good investment but I do not think many people paid a lot of attention toit. Well now is the time to pay attention and get what you can. I am sure that most you know thatthe US Dollar is going south faster than I am and will only good to use for toilet paper in the nearfuture.

The next set of photos is one days work in the Anzu River, near Tena in the jungle, with a smalldredge. That is a few ounces and worth probably $5000 minimum. You know what is so goodabout this? If you have been watching Discovery Channel (or the History channel, I forgetwhich) lately you have seen a reality called Alaska Gold. These guys put in over $250,000 inheavy equipment, wash plants and so on and dug a hole about 110+ feet deep and found only 14ounces of gold. That was a whopping total of $19,000 return. I understand they are going to tryagain and I wish them the best of luck as all miners need luck and knowledge.

In the photos belowthey (American ex-pats) worked for one day and got more than that. Here arethe photos of what they found and the small dredge they used. That dredge should have cost

about $10,000 max and since living there is next to nothing and it will not use much fuel a day, they came out far ahead of the game as we will.

As you can see, they did very well and did not need to invest $250,000 and work in the miserablecold weather of Alaska! Where this project will take place has very good weather, nice people, good cheap food, excellent medical facilities and all we need to live a good life at a third of thecost here in the good ole USofA. There are good airports for when you have to come back homeas well. So all in all it is a great place to work and seems a lot better than in most places I haveworked in Africa.

Ecuador is considered the best place in the world for an Ex-pat to retire and i am seriouslyconsidering it. It will be nice to be in a place where you can wander off in the jungle or go to ariver and find enough gold to live comfortably. Of course you can live in places in the US butwhat is the fun in that? the whole idea of this venture is go to a new area where you can livemuch cheaply and well and enjoy life without all the crap you find in the US and Europe.

In addition to the gold mining there are whole lost civilizations to be found, lost cities to lookthrough and things to find. So that brings up the subject of metal detectors. When you comedown you need to bring a good metal detector as it will do two purposes. You will use it to lookfor the lost gold items and you also use it to help find gold nuggets and that will be very helpfulin your mining. People are taking metal detectors to old mine tailings (the rocks and gravel that

the miners went through for the gold) and looking for gold that the old times missed.

You would be surprised at how much gold got away from them and the crude methods they hadto recover it. We will tell you what we have found to be the best detector for the gold and nuggetlocating if you wish. Below are some of the items that the Inca had made and that we canpossibly find there.

What I am offering is a chance to go down with me and set up a gold mining operation that willbe small but very profitable. The project works in two phases. The first phase is to get the seedmoney and go to the area of Tena and check the rivers there and find one to start to start themining operation. To keep under the radar there, and yes we have to do that until we areestablished enough to get a license as a small scale mining operation.

Until then we do as all the other expats do and mine on a very small scale and make our money. We will use a small dredge of not more than 6" and do our work. We will meet with a landownerand make an arrangement with him to use his land and that is how we begin. It is the same wayin Africa. We would do is to get a landowner where we wanted to mine and pay him a percentageof the diamonds(Africa) and we would work that way and give him a percentage of the gold orthe money equivalent in Ecuador.

In Ecuador the government is a bit different and only locals can mine as Small Scale bythemselves. Foreigners cannot do it by themselves and need a local for a partner to use the heavyequipment. We will go small and stay small until we get to where we want to be and then gobigger.

The above gold came from near the Tena area which is where we will start the Project. There aremany gold bearing rivers there so we cannot go wrong. The map below shows the rivers in justthe Tena area and all the yellow lines on the map are gold bearing rivers. If we cannot work onfor any reason then we pick another one. Some of these rivers are very wide and may be too deepfor us but that is something we will learn when we get there.

Here is one church in old Quito that has more than 7 tons of gold in it!. This just emphasizes theamount of gold that is in the country.

HERE ARE THE GOLD RIVERS IN THE TENA AREA WHERE

    WE WILL START OUR PROJECT.

As you can see many of the rivers in this area are full of gold. What we will have to do is pickone and then go up and down it, test it and chose our spot to mine. We will find the landowner, ifthere is one and get him to work with us on a percentage basis. This is the way we work in Africaand it should work here as well.

There is much to do and I want to get started soon. Below is some information on the rainyseason. All the rainy season means is that we may have to work on land if the river comes toohigh for our dredge.

INFORMATION ON THE RAINY SEASONS IN ECUADOR

    THE CLIMATES OF ECUADOR

Ecuador is in a unique position being directly on the equator. This makes Ecuador perfect fortravelling all year round, also because there are only two seasons instead of four: winter (rainyseason) and summer (dry season).Although we, nor anyone else, can predict the weather in thiscountry, here are some general patterns of each region:

The Galpagos Islands ClimateThe weather in the Galpagos Islands is largely determined by the ocean currents. Normallyfrom June to December, there is a cold current rising from the south which creates a cool moistfog called "gara", close to the ocean making the climate rather cool and dry. In December, thewind has less force, the oceanis calm and the currents change, surrounding the islands with thewarm Pnama Current from the North. These currents create a definable weather pattern of hotsunny mornings followed by clouds and occasional showers in the afternoons. Needless to say, this is usually the favorite time to visit. Based on all of this information, it would be safe to say:from June to December it's cool, cloudy and dry. From December to June it's warm, sunny

    and rainy.

The AndesClimateEven though this region is sitting on top of the equator it's not as hot as you might expect it to be.The temperature ranges and the weather alway depends on the altitude and the time of year.Obviously, as a general rule, the higher you are in altitude, the colder it will be. Given this, inQuito the temperature won't get lower than 5C (42F) at night, and about 28C (88F) during theday. The rainy season of the Andes takes place usually from December to May and the rest of the

year is relatively sunny. It's hard to predict Ecuador's weather. During the rainy season it mayrain in the afternoons, if it rains at all.

The AmazonClimateA relatively constant thing in the Amazon is that it's humid and warm. The average temperaturesare from about 20C to 28C (72F to 88F) and "dry season" is usually from November toMarch, which, like everything else related with the Ecuadorian weather, isn't constant.

Ok this is enough for the first letter. We want to start this project as soon as possible and anyonethat wants to get in on it needs to let us know soon as possible. I will send you more informationsoon and send me an email to request more information so I am not spamming anyone.

To sum up:there are several choices to make money there other than gold mining that we can donot to mention retire there with many more choices for us than here in the US. In the Projectpackage I will have all of them listed even though we will start with the mining.

THEN THERE IS THIS IF WE ARE LUCKY.

This is about $18,000 worth I should think!

I hope to hear from some of you soon and that some of you are ready for a change and achallenge. This can be your vacation of a lifetime and you make money while doing it. We willhave several ways to invest in this project. So have a good day and lets start the work and makemoney soon as possible. If you do not wish to receive this or any other newsletter please tell meand I will remove you from this list. We will be dealing with diamonds again but for now gold isthe main object of our attention.

Thank you and have a good day,
