Since 1935, the spirit of our brotherhood and innovative programming has
set the stage for boys to explore and discover who they are. Greenwoods
Camp is a place where boys develop the character and confidence they
need to excel at camp and the world beyond. Our campers say that
at Greenwoods they feel part of something bigger than themselves.
We are proud of the camaraderie and community that we continue to
build on each summer.
Whether your son is a competitive athlete, musician, or loves water
sports, there is a place for him at Greenwoods. Our elective program
allows boys to focus on their interests while expanding their horizons
and challenging themselves to reach their full potential. We provide
opportunities for healthy competition. Sportsmanship and teamwork are
reinforced in all aspects of camp life.

Greenwoods Directors, Dayna Hardin and Dana Kite, are life-long campers who grew up at Lake of the Woods,
our sister camp. Together they have over 50 years of camp experience and are well known throughout the camp
industry for their leadership and commitment to youth. With their excellent staff, they create a community
where boys feel connected, supported and inspired.
Camp is only as good as its people. We select only the finest counselors
to care for our campers. Our mature and dynamic staff is chosen from
students, graduates, coaches and teachers from all over the world.
We seek out charismatic, capable and compassionate individuals to
ensure the physical and emotional well-being of our campers. Each
counselor is committed to making a positive impact on each camper.

We offer top-quality instruction in over 50 activities for all skills
from beginner to advanced levels. Each boy customizes a program
based on his interests and we guarantee each camper gets all the
activities he selects.
We have an A and B Day schedule allowing our boys to develop skills
in 6-10 different activities of their choice. Campers may select 1
“ACTIVITY MAJOR” to specialize in and take daily at camp. We
encourage campers to try new things and use this experience as a
way to explore their interests.

Kids today need camp more than ever. Camp provides the relief they
need from pressures they encounter in their daily lives.
At Greenwoods, boys are challenged to take healthy risks and form
authentic relationships with peers and counselors. More than just
fun and friendship, we teach campers 21st century life skills including
resilience, creativity, teamwork, independence, optimism and
citizenship. These are some of the critical skills needed to empower
boys to become healthy, productive and competent individuals.
A different program is
planned every evening. Some
favorites include:
• Capture the Flag
• Casino Night
• Tough Mudder
• World Records Night
Each week, a special event
is planned including these
camper favorites:
• Olympic Days
• Carnival Day
• International Day
• Color Days
We take out of camp trips
too! Some of our favorite
destinations include:
• Binder Park Zoo
• Bowling & Arcade
• Warren Sand Dunes
• Overnight Camping Trips
Boys tell us that Greenwoods is their home away from home.
Cabin life provides the framework necessary for boys to form
authentic connections with their peers.
Grouped by age, campers live with 3 to 4 counselors in spacious,
airy, modern cabins with bathrooms and electricity.

Lake of the Woods, our sister camp, offers 2, 4 and 8 week experiences for girls ages 6 -15. Lake of the
Woods campers enjoy unique traditions and programs that run separately from our boys’ camp. Lake of
the Woods has the camaraderie and comfort of an all girls’ camp, but with the added bonus of opportunities
for pressure-free co-ed interaction. Camp BBQs, special events and a few co-ed evening activities add to
the fun. Lake of the Woods and Greenwoods is the perfect place for siblings to spend their summers!
"We could not have written a better summer for Alex. Thank you so much for providing a home for Alex these past three summers and keeping it such a special place. You have helped give him confidence, self esteem, and truly shaped him into a man." Tod & Michelle - Burbank, California
"Because of camp, my children learned to individuate, made lifelong friends & had amazing fun-filled summers. Thank you again for taking care of my boys in the professional yet loving manner that we experienced at Greenwoods." Hilary – Bloomfield Hills, Michigan.
"To say you exceeded our expectations doesn’t give you the credit I am intending to communicate. Instead, I will say this, outside of family life, I have no doubt that Greenwoods Camp will be the single biggest factor to shape who and what my son will become. You have done an exceptional job of making Greenwoods a place for meaningful personal growth, and for that I will be forever thankful!" Betsy – Chicago, Illinois
