PRINCIPALS REPORT: Dear Parents, It is with great pleasure I share the news that we were successful in obtaining a $20,000.00 grant which will go towards paying for our outdoor playing surface. We now have almost 60% of the funds needed, so our dream is getting closer to becoming a reality. Once constructed the surface will be available for use by both the students and the wider community. Last week the Year 6’s attended their first information session at Shoalhaven High. They had a wonderful time learning about the school that they will be attending in 2021 and had a great time participating in activities. We also had 4 students attend the District swimming carnival and they represented our school with pride. Well done to these students and we hope that you will continue to practise and hone your skills so that you may represent either us or your prospective High Schools next year. On Thursday we are encouraging all students to participate in a Vege Crunchsession aimed at increasing vegetable and fruit intake. Please make sure to pack your child a healthy snack for the event. It is part of the Healthy Canteen Strategy. Friday will see our students participating in Clean UpAustralia Day activi- ties. Students will be provided with all of the equipment necessary for the ac- tivity but are permitted and encouraged to bring their own set of gloves if they have them. Full school uniform is required as is a hat. Please note that if weather permits that some classes will head down to the waterfront for this activity. If you have not returned your lilac 2020 information form you will not be able to take part if your class leaves the school. Finally, it was wonderful to be out on the playground this morning witnessing our entire school participating in Fundamental Movement skills lessons. The focus at the moment is on catch, underarm and overarm throw. Why not take the opportunity to get out and about with your child and see how well their skills are developing by playing a game that incorporates these skills? Have a great week! PRINCIPAL’S REPORT:

Dear Parents, It is with great pleasure I share the news that we were successful in obtaining a $20,000.00 grant which will go towards paying for our outdoor playing surface.

On Thursday we are encouraging all students to participate in a ‘Vege Crunch’ session aimed at increasing vegetable and fruit intake. Please make sure to pack your child a healthy snack for the event. It is part of the Healthy Canteen Strategy.

Friday will see our students participating in “Clean Up’ Australia Day activi-ties. Students will be provided with all of the equipment necessary for the ac-tivity but are permitted and encouraged to bring their own set of gloves if they have them.
