2011 Annual Report

Greenlights’ 2011 Members and Consulting Clients

“St. David’s Foundation partners with Greenlights to strengthen not only our individual grantees but also our region’s entire nonprofit sector. Greenlights has developed a solid track record of providing quality organizational development in the areas of management, governance and performance.”

Earl Maxwell, Chief Executive Officer, St. David’s Foundation

“Working with Greenlights is a strategic collaboration that helps the Applied Materials Foundation maximize the effectiveness of our community partners. The result is more impactful nonprofits that are ready to meet current market challenges.”

Mark Walker, Executive Director, Applied Materials Foundation

Your Gift to Greenlights Strengthens our Nonprofit Sector, but Don’t Just Take our Word for it

What Nonprofits Say about Working with Greenlights“Greenlights helped Sustainable Food Center during a period of change and growth, first through their Executive Transitions program and then with strategic planning and board development facilitation. Our staff and board leadership is stronger because of the valuable work of Greenlights. We are proud members and look forward to a continued partnership!”

Ronda Rutledge, Executive Director, Sustainable Food Center

“Greenlights’ work with Arthouse on our merger with Austin Museum of Art was one of the keys to our success. Their structured merger process, professionalism, depth of expertise, and affordability made a relatively complicated merger not only a glowing success but also a thoroughly rewarding experience. We would highly recommend that any nonprofits considering a merger should consult with and engage Greenlights.”

Melba Whatley, Former Board Chair, Arthouse at the Jones Center

“The RGK Foundation and Kozmetsky family have been with Greenlights since the very beginning, and we continue to support their great work now 10+ years later. Greenlights is one of the main reasons Central Texas has such a vibrant, innovative and effective nonprofit sector.”

Chris Collier, Executive Director, RGK Foundation

“HealthStart Foundation attended Greenlights’ Board Summit and recruited amazing board members - committed, engaged and informed. If you’re clear about your organization’s needs and can articulate a vision, Greenlights’ Board Summit is a not-to-be-missed opportunity.”

In 2011 alone, we engaged 1,500 people in nonprofit training, held several record-breaking events, launched a Research and Innovation Fund, and provided below-market rates to 40 nonprofit consulting clients. We also celebrated 10 years of service to Central Texas nonprofits. Here’s a look at what we achieved from 2001-2011:

Intensive consulting projects conducted in the areas of board development, strategic planning, fundraising, leadership advancement, f inancial management, evaluation and more since 2001.

This doesn’t include the hundreds of trainings and facilitations we’ve led and the consulting projects that don’t fall in the six focus areas listed above.
