Greener Product LLC and Energy Onion Collaborate to ProvideUSGBC Approved Continuing Education

Greener Product LLC in collaboration with Energy Onion will start delivering webinar based continuing education courses to the more than 175,000 LEED APs and LEED 

Green Associates next month.

Charleston, SC June 24, 2010 -- Greener ProductLLC will offer USGBC approved Energy Systemtraining modules covering such topics as Lighting,Industrial Systems, Indoor Air Quality, Motors andDrives, HVAC, Building Automation and BuildingEnvelope.

The courses have been developed by Energy Onion, the commercial market leader inthe development of energy systems training to facility managers, engineers, contractorsand consultants. “This collaboration enhances the value of the Greener Product onlinelistings for our clients and provides a “one-stop” destination for LEED professionals

interested in green building and training” stated Peter Rundle, CEO, Greener Product.

Greener Product LLC has developed an industry leading online platformthat is helping LEED professionals to quickly and easily search, evaluate,and document sustainable building products. 

Energy Onion training is lead by Mark A. Carlson, M.S.,CEM, USGBC who has been involved in EnergyEngineering for a decade since graduating University ofNotre Dame M.S. Ch.Eg. USGBC Approved Education Two Energy Onion training modules have been approved by the USGBC for continuingeducation credits including Energy Systems Introduction (live and self-paced) and themore advanced Energy System Analyst (English and Spanish) program. These courseswill count toward GBCI Continuing Education (CE) non specific credit hours for LEEDAPs and LEED Green Associates. LEED APs must earn 30 CE hours biennially (6 ofwhich must be LEED-specific hours) and LEED Green Associates must earn 15 CEhours biennially (3 of which must be LEED-specific hours) to maintain their credentials.
