SPORTS ADVENTURESWeek 1, June 15-19We’re challenging the sports world this week as we run, jump and play our way through the adventures of sports of all sorts! Who’s your favorite team? We’ll go see Green Bay’s famous stadium and learn cool football facts on our field trip to Lambeau Field*!

MAGICAL KINGDOMWeek 2, June 22-26Whether your little camper is a prince, a princess or a knight in shining armor, we will be exploring the make-believe world of the enchanted kingdom. Our field trip will take us to Kidz Town* where campers will be delighted by a magical show and can then use their imagination to be anything they’d like.

EVERYDAY HEROESWeek 3, June 29-July 3They stand ready at a moment’s notice to protect our freedom and promote our safety…police, fire-fighters, military personnel, emergency and medical workers. We’ll see what it’s like to be every day heroes and practice our safety skills through games, art projects, stories, meet some real life heroes, and tour the Ashwaubenon Public Safety Department* to see firsthand how some of our safety professionals work.

FRIENDS ON THE FARMWeek 4, July 6-10 E-I-E-I-Oh my…Kamp Kermit is turning in to a pretend farm! All the crafts, stories and games promise to make you feel like you’ve just made friends with the cows and chickens down on the farm. Our field trip will lead us to Heritage Hill* where we will meet the animals, do laundry and help with chores…just like the old days—but much more fun—then we’ll end our visit with a couple of old fashion games.

GROWING GOURMETSWeek 5, July 13-17We will be little chefs for the week as we create fun snacks and explore the world of yummy food! Let’s see what our growing gourmets will discover on our field trip to Festival Foods* where we will get a behind-the-scenes tour and learn about their daily work!

SUPER POWER ACADEMYWeek 6, July 20-24We’re brave and we’re bold! No villains stand a chance when they meet up with us! We’ll transform ourselves into super heroes through costumes, play, and challenges. On Thursday, we’ll set out to conquer the world of Bay Beach Amusement Park.*

OUTDOOR EXPLORERSWeek 7, July 27-31It’s a big, wide world out there! Let’s see the sights of our natural surroundings, learn about the great outdoors and navigate a scavenger hunt, all while keeping a lookout for animal tracks. Our field trip will be to explore the N.E.W. Zoo.*

*NOTE: Field trips are subject to change based on weather and availability.

PIRATE’S JOURNEYWeek 8, August 3-7Arrgh, is that a pirate ship we see? We’ll imagine Kamp Kermit as a far-away land filled with adventure, challenges and missing treasures. This week, we will “sail” over to The Children’s Museum* for our field trip.

BACKYARD GARDENERSWeek 9, August 10-14Our little gardeners will learn all about the plants, fruits and vegetables that can be grown in your own backyard and how to incorporate a more Earth-friendly approach to everyday living. In fact, they are returning home with new skills, interests, character values, and amazing memories. When you snap a photo of your child being recognized by their own counselor at Family Night for the way they cared for a fellow camper, played with good sportsmanship, or acted as a role model for others, you will truly know the essence of the Camp Wabansi experience.

programs

INTRODUCTIONImagine your camper waking up in their cozy cabin on the shores of Chute Pond to the sound of the morning bell. The sun is just peeking up through the thick forest and the birds are chirping – it’s another beautiful day in the Northwoods of Suring, WI. The whole cabin group heads to the waterfront to cheer at the Polar Bear Plunge. After a family-style breakfast with their cabin mates and counselor, your camper glances at their schedule to see which morning activities they chose for today. Yesterday was their first time sailing and making a tie-dye t-shirt, and today is a nature scavenger hunt and archery! After lunch and rest hour, the whole cabin is signed up for the ‘Rave’ water trampoline, and then their counselor is going to teach them how to build a shelter in the woods. The bell rings for dinner and your camper heads up early because it’s their turn to set the table for their group. After dessert, they run down to visit the Camp Store before the all-camp game of Capture the Flag starts. Finally, the sun goes down and the cabin group is sitting around the campfire making s’mores. Their counselor leads evening reflections to help the campers discover what they’ve learned today about their activities, their environment, and themselves. After all, camp is all about growing in skills, responsibility, and confidence. We invite your camper to be a part of our 78-year tradition!

29

6-DAY OVERNIGHT CAMPAges 8-14Our classic camp experience. Campers individually choose eight activities, based on their own interests, to participate in throughout the week during morning activity times. The rest of the day is spent hanging out with their cabin group, visiting the Camp Store, enjoying open recreation times, and participating in our theme of the week. Evening activities include all-camp games like Capture the Flag, skits, s’mores around the campfire, and even a tent camping experience for our older campers.

4-DAY OVERNIGHT CAMPAges 7-10Designed for the younger camper, this introductory program allows beginners to experience the excitement of summer camp from Sunday through Wednesday (three nights). This program is a wonderful bridge from day camp to overnight camp.

SPECIALTY CAMPSAges 11-14Our Adventure Trekkers and Fishing Camp programs provide opportunities for campers to experience traditional camp activities and extra adventures – both in and out of camp. All required instruction and equipment is provided by camp and/or experienced professionals.

ADVENTURE TRIPSAges 11-17YMCA Camp U-Nah-Li-Ya’s canoeing and backpacking trips will take campers to some of the most beautiful and pristine areas in the upper Midwest under the leadership of our trained adventure trip counselors. Sessions vary in length and destination – visit our website for full descriptions and dates.

TEEN LEADERSHIP PROGRAMSAges 15-17Build leadership skills, grow in knowledge, and learn what being a positive role model is all about through our Counselor-In-Training 1, Counselor-In-Training 2, and Assistant Counselor programs. All teen leadership programs are two weeks long and also count for community service hours toward high school graduation.
