Visit a state park or marina in your area, rent a boat and enjoy. Whether you choose a canoe, kayak or paddleboat, you'll enjoy making memories together. Try your hand at stand-up paddleboarding. Although usually performed in the open ocean, stand-up paddleboarding can also be enjoyed at a river or lake. Check with an outdoor outfitter in your area to find rental boards. Plan a picnic with your family. Pack your lunch and a blanket and head to a local park. Bring along a frisbee or soccer ball and play together after you eat. Take a hike in the woods with the family.
