This graph shows that White Chicks was the most popular film choice and Anchorman was second popular, with the other five being least popular. The fact that White Chicks was most popular means we should include similar comedic elements such as the humor of cliques because people find it enjoyable.

Which four characters are most im-portant to include in a school based

comedy?

As shown on the chart, the popular girl and the geek are the most stereotypical characters to include in a school based comedy. These two characters are stereotypical in a teen chick-flick and as they are most popular we will incorporated them in our film by making them part of the team to try to kill the teacher. This will attract a wide audience who know what to expect. The bully would also be an important character to include as they usually kick start conflict in the narrative.

The most popular costume from this graph is uniform and the most popular props are glasses and books, therefore we will incorporate all of these in our film opening sequence as our target audience think they are important to include. These uniforms will help the audience to identify the genre and the characters, and will help them to relate to the characters.

From this graph, it is shown that the setting of a classroom is most important in our film. Having it set at lockers and in the canteen is also shown to be important. Therefore we will try to include all three of these settings as it will appeal to our target audience and they are stereotypical locations for the genre.

This graph shows that our titles featured in the opening sequence should appear gradually due to our target audience deciding this. Gradual titles are more interesting that appearing all at once, therefore teenagers are drawn in. This also creates tension and comedy at times for pace of the sequence, along with suspense and excitement creating an enigma code.

Which two settings are most important?

How do you prefer the titles in the opening sequence?
