1.0 Setup DiagramFigure 1-1 is a setup diagram for a single IP camera Grandstream GXV3611_LLconfiguration. The phone is setup as a SIP telephony device.

4.0 Setup ProcedureTo set up the Elastix Server for the Grandstream GXV3611_LL1. Go to the web address of the Elastix Server Login page. The web address isdetermined by the customer, for this guide we have used the IP address 192.168.1.752. On the Login page, type the username and password for an administrative user intothe Username and Password fields, see Figure 4-1. The username and password aredetermined by the customer.

3. Press Enter or click on the Submit button to go to Elastix’s Dashboard

4. Once inside, click on the PBX tab on the menu at the top of the screen

5. Click on the Submit button to add an extension, see Figure 4-3. This will take you tothe Add SIP Extension page.

6. On the Add SIP Extension page (Figure 4-4), fill in the following information:

• User Extension (301 in this example)• Display Name (‘GrandstreamGXV3611LL’ in this example)• secret (‘h7Dka3Rf9si0t’ in this example)

7. Click on the ‘Submit’ button at the end of the page. The extension will be created andyou will see the page on Figure 4-5 displaying the created extension on the right side.Click on the extension to modify it, and add the following information (Figure 4-6):

H264 is the video codec use by Grandstream GXV3611_LL on default settings.

8. Click on “Submit” button at the end of the page, and you will see a similar page onFigure 4-5 displaying the “Apply Configuration Changes Here” pink ribbon on top ofthe screen. Click on there to apply changes.

9. Repeat steps 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 to configure the Video Call IP Phone. Use a differentextension and a secure password.

10. Finally, you should have something like seen in Figure 4-7.

13. When finish, click on “Save” and “Reload Asterisk” button in that order.

14. With this you have finished configuring Elastix Server. Now we will set theGrandstream GXV3611_LL.

To register the Grandstream GXV3611_LL, you will need to enter the information fromthe extension created on the Elastix Server into the camera by logging into theGrandstream GXV3611_LL WebUI.

Go to the Grandstream GXV3611_LL’s WebUI by pointing your browser to its IPaddress.

For the initial configuration, refer to the Grandstream GXV3611_LL User Manualfound at:

http://www.grandstream.com/index.php/products/ip-video-surveillance/gxv3611-ll

15. When the WebUI is loaded, go to “Configuration” link located on the right corner ofthe page (Figure 4-10).

16. Use the information from the Add SIP Extension page (Figure 4-4) to enter thefollowing necessary information on “Basic Settings => SIP” section (Figure 4-11):

SIP Settings Account name: The local name (GrandstreamCamera in this example) SIP Server: Elastix Server’s IP Address (192.168.1.75 in this example) SIP User ID: (301 in this example) Authenticate ID: (301 in this example) Authenticate Password: (‘h7Dka3Rf9si0t’ in this example)

17. Once you have entered the required information, click on ‘Save’ button located atthe end of the page. You will be asked for rebooting the device, so accept the request.Next, go to the same page and check the “Registered” field that should show a green“Online” word (Figure 4-12).

18. Configure the Video Call IP (SIP) Phone with the correct parameters. Make sure tospecify in the Phone Settings the H264 video codec configured previously in the ElastixServer.

19. To test the Grandstream GXV3611_LL, pick up the previously configured videoCall IP (SIP) Phone and call the Grandstream GXV3611_LL’s extension number (301in this example). It should be able to establish a video call. This step completes theprocedure.
