Each holiday season, Santa looks forward to meeting new families, sharing their holiday wish lists and smiles, and taking keepsake photos at Issaquah Highlands. If this is your first year visiting Santa, or if you want a jollier family photo, follow these tips for magical Santa portraits.1. Plan the day and time of your visit in advance so the experience is relaxed. No bah-humbugs.2. Some of the cutest family photos are when everyone dresses in theme. Standouts include Seahawks jerseys, “unique” sweaters and pet portraits. Get creative and have fun.3. When dressing up, avoid neon colors, all red (unless you want to blend in with Santa), or vibrant patterns such as checks and stripes. 4. If you’re bringing small children or babies, don’t schedule your visit with Santa close to their usual meal or nap times. The best time to visit is often in the morning, when everyone is ready to smile.5. To familiarize your youngest family members with Santa, visit Grand Ridge Plaza and briefly drop by Santa’s Woodland Village a few days ahead. You can drop by the house to say hello. This will familiarize children with Santa so meeting the Big Guy is not a complete surprise on the day of your photo session.
