Supreme Arts and Crafts Competition 2018We are asking all participants to PRE-REGISTER no later than June 15 (please see the pre-
registration form).
Mom Shelly and Dad Ralph along with the Arts and Crafts Committee invite you to enter the 2017-2018 Supreme Arts and Crafts Contest. There are many exciting categories to enter this
year, so we hope that EACH Daughter will enter at least one item. Let’s show everyone how talented
Jobies are! NOTE: The Daughter does not need to be in attendance at Supreme Session to enter, someone
else from the Jurisdiction may bring the item to Session.
DUE: Pre-Registration form must be received no later than JUNE 15, 2018. The form can be emailed or sent postal mail.

Supreme Arts and Crafts Contest 2017-2018 General Rules
Please read the general rules for the contest as well as the specific guidelines for each category. If you have any questions, please contact Debra Williams, Chairman, by either e-mail or phone.
1. AGE GROUPSThe following categories will NOT be broken down into age specific judging: • Promotion All OTHER categories will be judged under specific age groups as follows: ● Jobie-to-Bee ●10-14 ●15-19
2. The Daughter’s age on June 15, 2018 (the registration deadline) determines which age group the Daughter should enter. Jobie to Bee’s may enter all categories.
3. Job’s Daughter contestants submitting entries must be in good standing with JDI as of July 25, 2018The contestant must have made the entry during the current Supreme Guardian Council year: August 2017 to June 2018
4. PREREGISTRATION: ALL items entered in the contest MUST be preregistered. The preregistration form may be emailed or mailed to the Chairperson. The deadline to preregister is June 15, 2018. This will help the committee obtain an accurate count of awards and certificates for each category
5. 6. The Chairman will acknowledge all email registrations by return email. If you wish acknowledgement of a mailed registration, please include a stamped, self-addressed envelope.

7. ENTRY SUBMISSION PROCEDURE: A sealed envelope must be attached to each entry with the following information listed on the outside of the envelope: Daughter’s age, and category. The inside of the envelope should contain the actual entry form
8. Mailed entries MUST be postmarked by June 15, 2018. 9. All OTHER entries are to be submitted at Davis Convention Center, Layton, Utah starting
on Monday, July 23, 2018 between 9:00 to 11:00 AM and 2:00 to 4:00 PM, or Tuesday from 9:00 AM to 4 PM, but no later than Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 4pm. Please check the actual Session information at the conference center for any adjustments to the time someone will be available. Please read the rules and guidelines for each category. Failure to comply with these rules will result in disqualification of the entry. The Supreme Arts and Crafts Committee reserves the right to disqualify any entry at its discretion based on content in keeping with the rules and regulations of Job’s Daughters International.
10.A contestant may enter only one item per Category. The contestant does not need to be in attendance at Supreme Session to enter. The name of the person responsible for picking up the entry must be clearly stated.
11.Each contestant determines in which division and category she wishes her entry to be judged; however, the Arts and Crafts Committee reserves the right to adjust categories.
12.Entries must be presented to the Arts and Crafts Committee on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 before 4 PM. Check the location of the Arts and Crafts competition in the Session program and/or newspaper. No late entries will be accepted unless caused by a travel emergency.
13.The entry must be as described on the registration form; substitutions will not be accepted.
14.Entry forms must be legible or will not be accepted.15.Contestants are responsible for storing their own packing material. Packing material left in
the competition room will be discarded.16.Judging will be done during the evening of Tuesday, July 24, 2018 No viewing of the
entries will be allowed before or during judging.17.Judging will be based on the following, as applicable: originality, design, artistry,
presentation / layout, degree of difficulty, craftsmanship, neatness, and finishing. Completed judging score sheets will be given to the contestants. The decision of the judges is final.
18.The competition room will be open for viewing Wednesday, July 25th and Thursday, July 26th from 9 AM to 4 PM. All entries must remain in the competition room during this time.
19.Entries must be claimed from the committee on Friday, July 27th between noon and 4pm unless other arrangements have been made with the Arts and Crafts Committee Chair.
