GRAND KNIGHT’S MESSAGE:

My term as Grand Knight ends this month. It’s hard to believe two years have passed. It has been a very rewarding ex-

perience for me. Thank you to all who provided guidance, organized activities and volunteered. A special thank you to

Micky Nortman our Knight Life editor.

Thank you to all who attended the Steak Burn. Good food and bingo made for a great evening among friends and fami-

lies. I would like to thank all the Knights and Lady Knights who contributed. From the behind the scenes planning, to

the decorating of the hall, grillers, kitchen help, bingo, and cleanup, we couldn’t have done it without you.

May also brought carnation sales on Mother’s Day. The carnations were beautiful. Thank you to Mike Anselmi for all

the work he did in making this event special for so many.

A special thanks to Anthony and the whole breakfast crew! With the successful completion of May’s breakfast, the

breakfast crew gets some well-deserved time off during the summer.

This month’s meeting is of special significance as the slate of officers for 2017-2018 will be presented and voted on.

The nomination committee has candidates for all positions except the Deputy Grand Knight. As stated in the by-laws

the floor will be open to any additional nominations prior to the actual election during the council meeting. Any Knight

can nominate someone or volunteer for election to a position on the council of officers. All nominees must be in good

standing with the council and be at least 3rd degree. Please come to this month’s meeting and show your support for

the council.
