Felix Project. The Felix Project is a charity that collects donations from a range of supermarkets and other food suppliers which is out of its sell by date but still within its use by date. We will have a stall of donations regularly set up outside the chill out zone on Wednesday after school, this food can only be collected by parents.

Governor’s Parents Forum has been rearranged for tomorrow night
Wednesday 8th May at 7 – 8pm in the Winter Hall. If you are unable to attend
minutes of any issues discussed will be emailed to all parents.
Year 5 parents please check your emails regularly as we have recently been
receiving information about Secondary schools which we have been emailing
directly to you.
Safer Neighbourhood Team - Police. Last week we were visited by Louise Dunstone – Patterson our new Safer Neighbourhood team representative. She will be outside with other colleagues in the next few weeks discussing parking, driving on Trinity Street and any other local issues that as residents you may wish to discuss. After her first visit I will get a photograph so that you know who to speak to.

SPORTS NEWS Following the trials during the PE lessons, the athletics team has now been selected. The team has only 26 places, therefore Mr Millard had the tough responsibility of selecting the children. The children demonstrated good ability and skill during the trials and have now been informed if they have been selected. You will receive a letter this week to confirm your child's place. Training will begin next Tuesday 14th June. Please contact Mr Millard if there are any questions regarding the athletics team.

Spanish News
In Year 2 we will continue to learn the months of the year in Spanish. We will do this through
songs and games. Please ask your children which months they can remember.
In Year 4 we will learn how to look up words using a Spanish dictionary. We will learn new useful
words and phrases, then practise saying them with a partner.

FoCS Marathon Runner: Our amazing FoCS parent Nick Bonner completed the London Marathon on Sunday and managed to raise over £2600 for our 2019 FoCS Wellbeing Appeal. Thank you Nick from all the
school!
Happy Bags: Last week’s Happy Bag collection raised an incredible £340.99. This academic year we have
raised nearly £1,000, with our next collection date on July 4th. Thank you to all who donated!
Summer Fayre Volunteers: We kindly ask for any parents/carers who are interested in helping at this

Co-op: Our Local Community Fund partnership with the Co-op has raised £957 to date. Gardening Thank you to Lorraine Croke who has been helping out with some weeding for us, if anyone has any gardening know how and can suggest plants that we can get for the front of the school that would survive in the damp shady conditions we would be grateful.
