2. Google mail
Your first step to Google Ease is to sign up for a gmail account.
Go to http://mail.google.com to get it.
3. 4. Google mail
Sign up for an account and write down the information your email address and password.
Youll definitely need the information often while using Googles tools.
5. 6. Google mail
Youll be able to create a theme and do many other cool things with your mailbox.
But thats not what this slide show is about.So do that later.
Check out the choices at the top left of your mailbox page.
7. 8. Moving on in Google mail
The first thing you need to do is explore Google Docs.
Click on Documentson the top left of the page.
9. This page is what youll see when you click on Documents from the gmail page.
10. Google Docs
Google Docs allows you to upload your documents and create documents online.
You can also share those documents as documents or share them as a webpage.
You can invite collaborators or viewers or simply keep your files private.
11. Upload a file to Google Docs
Click on Upload.
12. 13. This is what youll see next.
14. Search your computer for the file you want or find the file on the web. Rename it or not. Then upload.

Choose a file from your computer or from a website.
Rename it, if youd like.
Click Upload to upload file.
16. This is what pops up when you click Upload. Of course, it wont be this file of mine I hope.
17. Upload a file to Google Docs
Your file will open up in the window.
Click on Save and Close(top right), if youre ready to move on.
If youd rather share your document, click on Share (top right).
18. 19. Share and share alike
Click on Share with others.
Choose to make your share-ee a collaborator or viewer.
Click Invite Collaborators or Invite Viewers.
20. 21. Youll get this box next and can type a personal message to your collaborator or viewer.
22. Shared and shared alike
Now that youve shared your file, you can simply click on Save and Close.
But you could also click on Publish as web page, if youd like to do so.
23. When you click on Publish as a web page, youll get this page.
Click Publish document.
24. Now this page, lovely as it is, is a webpage with a web address all its own. When I update the page, it automatically updates the webpage.
25. Create a file within Google Docs
You can also create a variety of documents from scratch using Docs.
You can even create tests or surveys through Docs plus use templates to make it even simpler.
Whatever you create can be saved, shared, and linked to through other Docs or even Google Sites. (Check out Part 2.)
