It is strictly web based. All you need is internet access to get to google docs, which is important because you can get to any paper, document, or presentation from any computer.

Is it easy to set up an account and are there different account levels?• Google docs is 100% free!!!!• It is very simple to set up an account all you need is an

email address and a pass word to log in. also accept the verification email sent to the email that you gave. 

Can the tool be used for academic purposes?• Yes the google docs tool can be used for academic

purposes.• documents needed for academic purposes can be accessed

or made through google docs. • These documents include: regular types typed documents

like papers for english class, presentation (power points), spread sheets, and forms.

• also you can upload documents from your computer. • ex. At the library you are not allowed to use flash drives, so

if  someone tries to print from there personal computer, they can not. My friend therefore uses google docs to write papers so that he can access his paper and print from any computer in the library.
