“I’m going fishing with Ra today,” said Dad.

“I like going fishing,” said Kiri.

“I want to come with you, too,” said Kiri.

“You are too little to go fishing with Dad and me,” said Ra.

“No, she is not,” said Mum. “Take Kiri fishing too.”

Dad and Ra and Kiri went down to the wharf.

Dad put the bait on the hooks.

“Look, I can see a plane,” shouted Kiri.

“Sh,” said Ra. “The fish will not come if you shout.”

They went on fishing.

“Look!” shouted Kiri. “A fish! Look at this fish!”

“Wow, it is a big fish,” said Ra.

They all went home with Kiri’s big fish.

“Look, Mum, look at the big fish I got!” said Kiri. “We can eat it for tea!”
