Poor collaborationis a UX problem
When I dealt with designsthat had their head in the clouds.
Poor operations is a UX problem
Bad data, workflows, and communicationscreates poorer experiences.
Whenever possible, we should design with . . .
▣ Real Content
▣ Real Data
▣ Real Collaboration (with your Development,
QA, Support, and Operations colleagues)
Ask what happens when . . .
▣ Content is shorter or longer?
▣ Data or content is missing?
▣ The data or workflow can’t support the
feature, widget, or interaction?
▣ Sh!t goes wrong?
Expand your scope of empathy and collaboration. Focus equally on designing for your users and your system.
Let’s avoid this.
