THE STORY SO FARHumanity has come to terms with the arrival of giant monstersacross the globe. After an attack from space that nearly destroyedthe planet, Godzilla reappeared in Hawaii and nearly killedbudding scientist Lucy Casprell and her Kaiju Watcher researchteam. Saved by Commander Steven Woods of the Counter-KaijuReactionary forces (CKR, “Seekers”), Lucy joins her group as theydepart for China in search of a mysterious giant monster.

The CKR team discovers a new species called Destoroyah and apiece of Godzilla’s flesh, and take both to their facility in San Diegofor analysis. An attack at sea which destroyed an aircraft carrierand supporting fleet signals the invasion of downtown San Diegoby a swarm of Destoroyah crabs. Leaving the facility to engage thecrabs, the CKR forces are unaware that an alien race known as theCryog have stolen the Godzilla specimen, leaving a sole survivor.

Turning the Godzilla specimen over to their undersea cohorts, theDevonians, the Cryog are confident that Godzilla will soon bedestroyed, easing their conquest of the planet. When Godzillafaces the mighty Destoroyah, he nearly falls in defeat. Only withthe intervention of Mothra do the two defeat Destoroyah, andthwart the Cryog/Devonian plans.
