GODZILLA has emerged from the ocean off the coast of Japan. RODAN has hatched
from an egg in Russia. BATTRA has been released off the coast of France. KUMONGA
has burst from the ground in the midwestern United States. KING GHIDORAH has
burst free of his prison in the mountains of Asia.
A month has passed since Godzilla made landfall in the United States, and President
Ogden's government responded with a final countermeasure: MECHAGODZILLA was
developed in Detroit and sent to confront GODZILLA. During the battle, a major
malfunction caused MECHAGODZILLA to turn on humanity. The government went
underground, civilization crumbled and people now roam the country seeking food
and shelter, growing more and more desperate by the day.
In France, the evil twins are suddenly attacked by RODAN, as BATTRA emerges from
the cocoon in his winged form. While the two flying giants face off, the twins order
the beasts to stop… a command both BATTRA and RODAN obey. The twins decide to
head west, ready to test their newfound abilities on GODZILLA himself…
Meanwhile, as GODZILLA continues to demolish Washington D.C., a guardian for
mankind arrives to stop him… KING GHIDORAH!
